Bottle. Pours a dingy orangish brown with some junk clouding it up and a sudsy head that is quite large at first, but dies down to a film after a few minutes. Aromas a little edgy... a bit of a tart cherry presence with some bread dough, green apple and a bit of a nondescript spice presence. Flavor is much more identifiable... Pretty much a honey bun malt presence that just barely peeks out from under a blanket of sour cherry and apple. Finish is tart and crisp.

750ml into chalice. Pours copper in color with medium white head and minimal lacing. Aroma of caramel malts and finishes with an acidic fruit scent. Mouth feel is smooth with medium carbonation. Flavor is very similar to a barleywine, rich in malt flavors, heavy on the caramel, fruity finish. Great beer.

bottle shared 1/12/10. rich copper colored pour with a soft creamy off white head. moderate spotty lacing. robustly sweet caramel grain smell... that’s a surprise.... there is a slight note of brett behind that along with brown sugar, cinnamon, slightly dried hay, herbals, wet earth, moist pine forest floor, lemon and slate. the flavor is heavy on the malty richness but incredibly well balanced by the dryness of the herbal hops, lemon and brett. it finishes herbaceous and spicy which helps to keep the rather full body manageable. way too easy to drink! 8.5/4/8/4/16/4.05

(750ml bottle). Pours hazy orange with off-white head. Aroma is of brett and lemon. Taste is sweet with some hops and sour. Medium bodied with a smooth finish. This beer left me wanting more sour, but it’s still a good beer (if not over-priced).

A lightly hazed golden ale with a thin white head. A superb pungeant catnip hops, herbal, intense and smooth. In mouth, a crisp sweet honey malt with light coriander and light maple notes, light ginger. Bottle at Catherine’s b-day party, May 8 2010.

750ml bottle picked up at Ramsey Liquors and consumed at cellar temp. Appearance - as the previous reviewer mentioned its the color of honey with a nice 2 finger head. fairly clear with some signs of oils/hops in the fluid. Good thick lacing, a fair amount of carbonation. Smell - lemon, hay, slight menthol / minty herbal quality, some brett characteristics but very subdued. Taste - Extremely well balanced and blended. No taste is overly dominant. Hints up hay, grass, herbs, and lemon. Mouthfeel - light to medium body, clean and crisp, a solid mouthfeel that invites more sampling each time. Drinkability - One of the easiest 8.5 ABV bottles to knock back. No overpowering flavors, excellent balance, carbonation is just right. I had a preconceived notion that this beer would be a bit more wild but I’m satisfied with how well balanced it actually is. I would drink this brew anytime it was available to me. Poured with a decent cream colored foamy frothy fluffy head and good lace. Color is a slightly hazy medium amber. Aroma is spicey yeast malt a bit of fruit. Flavor is like aroma but bitterness dominates the sweet. Good body and carbonation. Finish is like flavor with alcohol warming at the end of medium length. Decent beer, but nothing too remarkable.

Golden pour with a beige head thats lingers. Aroma is spice, citrus hops, bread, turmeric, brett and funk! Wet socks and fruit. Flavor is soft rounded malt with golden raisins, citrus rind hop, wheat, candy sugar, lemons, sour red apple and something I can’t name. Carbonation is high enough to carry the sweet malt. The beer is both sweet and sour. This beer is truly unique with a luscious flavor that I can’t peg but I truly enjoy. Very high drinkability.
