Thanks to Dennis for this one in a trade! A- Body is a dark, cloudy golden color with hints of amber hues within. Pours with a giant foamy white head that slowly subsides to 1 finger. A lot of lacing is left behind in the glass. Cloudiness is thick and uniform. S-Floral hops are definitely the accent of the nose, underneath are exotic fruits, brett, and a hint of alcohol. T-Upfront is dry fruity (apricot, mango, and citrus) and floral hops flavors with a solid brett backbone. A big bash of hop bitterness hits for the finish but this brew has a pretty dry flavor overall. Some residual tart brett and hop bitterness lingers on the palate. P- Medium weight body with medium carbonation...pretty dry. O- This is a good beer with a good character. I really like the hop accents used in this brew. ABV is minimally detectable, but because of the dryness this is still a slow sipper. Looking forward to other port, lost abbey, and de proef beers. Haven’t looked into how old this brew is...but I’m sure it plays a role. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 11-05-2008 03:43:33

750 ml. bottle from Green’s on Buford Highway. I haven’t been to that Green’s in many months. They also have this at Tower Liquors in Fuckead. Sorry, I meant Buckhead. Anyways, nice frothy head at first that fades away somewhat slowly. Nice dark orange transparent body. Looks pretty damn good to me. Wow, a huge caramel malt sweet aroma with a nice brett backing. I can’t say that I really am enjoying the pungent malt aroma. There are a lot of citrus aromas coming from this i.e. grapefruit, orange, and maybe some tangerine as well. I wish the brett came out more, but it does provide a nice backing to the beer. To me, this is just too malty. Wow, ok, this one develops oddly. It starts out as this almost off-putting malt flavor, but then it develops rather nicely; I am getting a nice blend of citrus flavors with that malt flavor in the background, and then it develops into a nice citrus and brett flavor. To me this tastes like it’s messy at first and then cleans up and becomes slightly refined. Not extremely smooth, but decent enough. Overall, the malt kind of kills everything, and I wish the brett added a lot more. This is a decent brew, if you ask me.

Thanks to Cavie for sharing this beer. The beer pours a light hazy brown color. The aroma is light funk with some yeast and caramel malt. The flavor is more of the same with funk, apples, other fruits and a light alcohol presence. The mouthfeel is medium, as is the carbonation level.

Bottle from Hall’s. Slightly hazy light yellow/orange color. Bubbly white head. Big Belgian fruit on the nose. Yeast notes and light vegetable flavor with cologne. Taste is bitter rice with dry fruit. Finishes light sweet but holds it’s heavy wheat.

750ml thanks to cavie. Pours a hazy orangeamber body with no head. Smells of hard candy, orange zest and honeydew melon. Tastes of toffee, light bitterness, orange and candied rind fruits. Initially a fizzy/lively carbonation that gives way to a creamier, clean finish.
