Bottle courtesy of jimbowood, thanks! Pours a cloudy golden color with a thin white head. Very attractive aroma of bubble-gum, fruits, spices and brettanomyces. Excellent flavor of bubble-gum, fruits, spices and brettanomyces, it’s also very dry. The body is medium with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. This fruit of Tomme and Dirk’s collaboration is extremely well done and worthwhile.

Sweet aroma and flavor. Aroma has very light wild yeast. Flavor has yeast as well, minimally sour. Clearly a Belgian style beer, with Belgian yeast. Low carbonation. Some wild grass. Malt. Good.

25 oz bottle, via fordest. Poured a mostly clear dark gold to light copper body under a small off-white foamy head. The nose was pretty nice, a mix of fruitiness and a subtle funkiness, some notes of bready malt, and moderate hoppiness. Just the beginnings of what this beer might have become, the brett is there, but probably would have become much stronger with time. The flavor is a blend of slightly sweet maltiness, moderate leafy hops, and the soft brettiness on the finish. Light to medium bodied with soft fizzy pleasant carbonation. Overall, I think this was a really nice complex beer, I wish I could have had a larger sample in a more private setting to really get into it, but then again, sharing is it’s own reward.

Nice chunky, hazy and bright copper coloured body with orange and tan highlights all with a bright soapy, lacy egg-white head. Aroma of honey, curacao, yeast, wheat, flowers and coriander seed. Medium-bodied; Strong assertive malt, wheat and yeast tucked in with flowers, grass, honey and some light nuts. Aftertaste shows a very complex and refreshing beer - good flavours of floral hops, wheat and yeast along with a light alcoholic flavour and some sugars too. Overall, a nice beer - refreshing and complex at the same time, with a good dry character at the end. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 03-August-2008, sampled on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 02-May-2009.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2007 Draft @ Patron Saint Party. Pours gold/yellow with a bright white ring. The nose has subtle hints of floral textures. The nose stood out as being different and scared me a bit but I didn’t have to worry too long. The taste was sweet, floral and a bit bitter. Overall a very nice well rounded belgian strong.

Bottle: The aroma consists grapefruit, pineapple, floral/perfumey notes, and faint sour apple. It pours a transparent gold with a small white head. The flavor starts with pineapple and grapefruit combination that blends together very well along with some light yeastiness. There is some faint sour apple way in the background. The finish has moderate floral and grapefruit bitterness and spiciness. No sign of the 8.5% ABV in the flavor. Medium-bodied with lively, but soft carbonation.

Bottle courtesy of Kryptic: Poured a deep hazy golden color ale with a huge bubbly foamy head with good retention and great lacing. Aroma of funky notes with some barnyard-like notes as well. Taste is also a nice mix between some barnyard-like notes and some funky yeast with a dry European hops finish. Full body with limited filtration and great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. It kind of reminded me of Orval but I would still prefer to drink Orval over this even thought it is an interesting experiment.

Pours a lightly hazy, golden-orange color. A small, frothy white head leaves behind minimal sudsy lacing that mostly rejoins the body. The aroma shows the signature, subdued dry funk of Brett, followed by bready, yeasty scents and notes of creamy lemon chiffon. The flavor shows ample, varied, acidic citrus components. Oranges and lemons come to the forefront, but the bready notes are present throughout. The Brett dries things out nicely. Medium bodied, smooth, and very easy to drink. Similar to Ommegeddon, though perhaps not quite as dry. If you told me this was a Saison, I wouldn’t doubt it for a second. Good stuff.
