3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 IrishBoy (3265) - Bakersfield, California, USA - JUL 7, 2008
Bottle shared by my son, Enniskillen; Nose of light floral hops, musty caramel, and light spices; light amber, clear, with a small offwhite head; flavor has light sour peaches, light bitterness and tartness, and light caramel; finish has very light hop bitterness. Body seems a little on the watery side.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2009 on tap at the maproom. pours hazed orange with white head. nose is peachy, orange, hoppy, and slightly medicinal. flavor is sweet peach, orange, apricot, medicinal, no alcohol noticied at all. hops are fruity but this isn’t very bitter and didn’t seem that fresh. decent stuff but would have been killer if there was no medicinal notes and a fresher hop taste.3.3.
1/2/09, 750ml bottle. big green apple aroma with some in the flavor, herbal notes, oh this is just awful, drain pour.2.8.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2007 #400!!!!!!! ml Michael Jacksons beer of the Month Club. Very tasty. Yeasty, band aidish aroma. Probably the Brett. Pours a nice lasting head. Really like this brew. Some bitterness evident but the Belgian yeast seems to dominate in a good fashion. well done. cant wait to enjoy the next 3 750’s.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Cavie (3249) - Fort Worth, Texas, USA - MAR 3, 2010
Bottle from Hall’s. Slightly hazy light yellow/orange color. Bubbly white head. Big Belgian fruit on the nose. Yeast notes and light vegetable flavor with cologne. Taste is bitter rice with dry fruit. Finishes light sweet but holds it’s heavy wheat.

750ml bottle from Whole Foods Los Altos. A collabo with the man, myth, and legend known as Tomme Arthur? How could this not be awesome (unless it had no carbonation)?
Pours a cloudy amber color with a small off-white head that fades but leaves good lacing. Complex aroma of brett, lemon peel, Asian spices, caramel, and apple. Floral hops evident as well. The flavor is slightly sweet and slightly tart. Caramel malt and candi sugar form the base, with spicy notes of ginger and mint, earth, citrus peel, green apple and stone fruits, and hop resins. Brett and Belgian yeast. A lot going on, but not extremely well balanced. A little on the flatter side carbonation-wise, with medium body for the style. A worthy effort from Tomme and De Proef, but not amazing.

Tastes a bit better then it smells. Highlights are honey, rhubarb, obvious banana, caramel and prickly pear. A beer that’s good now and will only improve with age.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 phaleslu (3182) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - DEC 15, 2009
11.2 oz. bottle from Ludlow Wines. Pours a hazy red-orange-brown color with a huge, active, rocky off-white head. Lots of visible sediment, especially at the bottom of the glass. Aroma of Belgian yeast, malt, honey, mixed fruit (plum, apricot, peach, citrus), and clove. Flavor of malts, plum, citrus, honey, nuts, candy sugar, and a big punch of alcohol that’s nowhere to be found in the nose. Thick bodied, with a malty mouthfeel. Boozy aftertaste. This was a bit of a letdown, an uneven Belgian ale.
