3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Butters (2841) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAY 3, 2009
Bottle shared at Butter’s Big Cellar Blowout. Clearish orange pour with good wispy white head and lacing. Bready belgian spiced yeast aroma. Flavor is floral earthy hop with belgian yeast. cotton candy, fruity hop, with sweet malt backbone. Nice balance. With medium syrupy body. Very good and Very expensive.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - JUL 16, 2007
On tap at the PIB 2007. Pours light golden with a soft white head. Tropical fruit aroma and flavor, pineapple, citrus, and floral hops, all wrapped up in a zesty spiciness. Dry and crisp in the finish. Very enjoyable beer although I didn’t get much of a west coast hop flavor from it.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 alexanderj (2830) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - DEC 31, 2007
Bottle; poured a pure gold with a quickly diminishing white head. Aroma was of clove, yeast, must with some tartness. No one else picked up on any tartness in the aroma or flavor but I did. Not too pronounced, but had some characteristics of brett. It does seem from other ratings that it was bottled with some. Flavor was of bread, crystal malt, yeast, with a peppery finish. Good, not great beer.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 vyvvy (2798) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - AUG 23, 2008
Pours hazy orange / copper with a minimal white head. The aroma is like a musty basement, dry butterscotch, apricots, cobwebs and caramel. Medium body with a ton of semi-soft carbonation. The flavor adds a bit more sweetness and some pepper to the aroma traits. The finish has a dry biere de garde essence. A good beer.

750 mL bottle graciously shared by grant. Sweet, sugary, floral , herbal aroma with very mild hints of Brettanomyces. Aroma is quite sweet and sugary. Very mildly hazy honey-colored body with a small-medium off-white head and ok lacing. Carbonated, bitter, metallic flavors with some musty yeasty Brett flavors. Fruity, floral flavors come in later with a dry, bitter, hop finish. Quite hoppy, and overly dry for my palate. Decent, but this does not really jive with my preferences when it comes to Belgian ales.

Thanks to Cavie for sharing this beer.
The beer pours a light hazy brown color. The aroma is light funk with some yeast and caramel malt. The flavor is more of the same with funk, apples, other fruits and a light alcohol presence. The mouthfeel is medium, as is the carbonation level.

bottle...crisp, clear golden brown with hefty white head.....nose of tropical fruits, mainly grapefruit, and biscuity malt.....flavors of grapfruit and floral hops. very fruity overall and some lingering sweet candy sugar. some yeast in there as well. a little too sweet for my taste but still a very nice treat

Bottle from SL. Poured a golden to amber color, decent typical BSA head and lacing. The aroma was fruity, yeasty, some notes of alcohol. The flavor too was a little hot, but a nice fruity, yeasty BSA with a touch of hops in the finish. Light wheaty, even bretty sour and bitterness also present. A nice brew.
