Bottle. pours a hazy orangey body with a medium creamy white head. The aroma is beautiful - cookie dough, tart apple & pear, light sugar, mild spicy hops, very tripel-ipa esque. Tastes nice up front - you got some hop rinds, biscuit, and fruit tartness. It’s quite dusty spice and rindish and there is some alcohol that hits you almost right away. Cookiesh and doughy throughout, there is certainly no lack of substance. It’s not HUGELY complex but it’s quite palatable and flavourful. The alcohol hits you after a while.

75cl corked bottle that’s probably 2.5yrs old or so. Hazy, orange-brown pour with a medium off-white head and a little lacing and some short legs. Pretty big, sweet, Belgian aroma and maybe a little spice in the background. Flavour is a little flat but at the finish there is a vegetable note that is hard to place/describe...I’m not a fan of it anyway. Alcohol is noticeable but nothing major. I think this was a bit of a miss. Got another bottle I’ll try and re-rate as appropriate.

Bottle: Gold pour with a finger of sandy head. Thick, small sheets of sticky lacing. Aroma of light florals and fruity hops. Some faint Belgian spices. A sweet and overall inviting aroma. Flavor is sweet and malty with citrus, florals, and a sweet faded citrus hop element. Mellows nicely as it warms to room temp. Belgian spices and yeast play a minimal role; seems like a cross of I2PA and barleywine... Rather tasty at that!

Orange-amber, small off white head, light lacing. Aroma is yeasty, quite musty, light citrus, perfume, spice. Flavour is a bit hot, lots of perfume and spices, weird. Spicy mouth, med body, high carb. Finishes long, hot, citrus.

Seems old. Hot with way to much perfume.

750ml bottle.
Opened March 2009.
No date.

750, corked and baled. Pours hazy dark gold with a lacy pale yellow head. Aroma of tangerines and fruit with a touch of spice. Medium body and carbonation. Sweet peach, bread and citrus taste. Softly resin-bittered finish. Seems to leave me with a hint of perfume and funk. Interesting, but in a good way.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2008 Bottle shared by puddintane: Pours a clear golden color with a tiny white head. Aroma, bready malts, some yeast and spices. Flavor, spicy, pale bready malts, yeast.

Re-rate: From a 11.2oz bottle, some bretty funk is starting to come through, a nice spice to it. Really coming along nicely.

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2008 A nice and unique brew. Bottle from WBF in Raleigh. Deep golden amber pour. Hops and brett present on nose and in mouth. Fruity funkiness, too, with some scuppernong grape and apple flavors present. Hint of ash/smoke. Fizzy mouthfeel. Yum.
