From bottle at Lost Abbey before RBSG on 08/02/2008. Batch 2. Clear golden body with a small frothy white head. Sweet, spicy floral aroma. Spicy flavor, lots of floral and grassy notes. Medium body with moderately high carbonation.

750 cork and cage, synthetic cork... pours a deep golden with huge head. aroma is like a tart green apple. mouthful is also tart, a bit spicy, and very crisp. finish is clean and dry. the hops are there but not a dominant fixture. very nice.

One of the better fusion styles I have tried. The aroma is filled with citrus and yeast. The yeastyness balances out the hops in the flavor perfectly.

750mL bottle. Pours a bright, clear orange-tinged golden color; white, web-like head with solid lacing. Pleasant, yeasty and doughy notes in the aroma, with a solid mineral / dry citrus hop presence; mild brett presence at this point. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: solid belgian core (esters, light yeastiness, some warming alcohol), with a nice dry hop character (citrus, pine) and a mild show of brett at this point; slightly warm, so I’ll look forward to trying this with some age. Doughy and minerally hop finish.

Pours a murky, coppery-orange color with a full, white, rocky, fluffy head which settles fairly quickly to an average, creamy layer and leaves minimal sporatic lace. Nose is innovative and complex; citrus notes of tangerine, brett notes of overripe peaches, floral hops, bready and dusty yeast notes, malty notes of honey and almonds, and other notes including white pepper and miscellaneous herbs. Flavor is similar but progresses quickly; honey and almonds followed by grapefruit peel and apricot. Notes leading into the finish include floral tones, light white pepper, light herbs, and dusty yeast. Palate is medium to medium-full, dry towards the finish, lively, and moderately creamy. Finishes quickly with an almost limey citrus, dry almond notes lingering, leafy hops, and a moderately light bitterness. An interesting new take on the golden Belgain beers with the American hopping techniques. Certainly complex, but the flavor progression is quick and the hops kill the normally nice finish of the golden Belgain. A well put together, and complex beer, even if it wasn’t my favorite brew.

blurry orange, thin offwhite head. aroma is very fruity and malty, apricot and peach mostly. flavor is more bitter, surprisingly hoppy for a belgian. very thick flavor, full and long bittersweet finish. medium body, sticky and low carbonation.

Tampa RB Gathering Beer #19....HUGE thanks to Ibrew2or3 for this one....pours a tangerine colored body with a medium sized head, resolves to a small ring of off white foam that lasts for a while....nose of raisins, plums, figs, candied sugars, apples, hops, assorted spices and yeast....flavor very similar, big on the candied sugars and fruit notes, with a nice spice background as well to balance things out....medium bodied, round, soft palate....finish is lengthy and full of dark fruits, sweet remnants of the sugars are left dancing in the back of the throat long after the last swallow
