COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Olivier Duthoit, brewer : "My wishes for this beer were first, humbly to create a relatively "classical" IPA but I wanted to give it a personal touch, rather eccentric. The idea I had was to brew this beer with a variety of Amercan hop barely used in France: Zeus! After long thoughts, I decided to make a bet on innovation. With the complicity of Cedric Legrand, gourmet chef, I extracted the variety of hop Simcoe with liquid nitrogen, aiming to get the maximum aroma and essential oil. Hopping should surprise. My ambition was to marry the bitterness of a "traditional" IPA and in the same time, to preserve a French know-how. This is why I also used in the recipe some local hops and fresh yeast, Belgian type, in order to better harmonize and balance this beer".

330 ml bottle. L324. BB 10/2013. From saveur-biere.com.
Lively golden colour with a big foamy and pillowy white head. Belgian style yeast, citrusy hops, mild bitterness and lemon zest in the aroma. The flavour is much more Belgian Triple with strong yeast, alcohol (not in a bad way), hops, spices and mild bitterness. Not bad at all. Burns a bit in the throat.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours unclear golden in color with a whitish head. Citrus, garden fruits and notes of summer meadow in aroma. Feels very fresh and crisp. Light soapy notes, some orange peel and ripe garden fruityness in taste, the emphasis being on the latter two ones. There’s also some marzipan kind of sweetness lingering beneath which later on turns into a more biting spicy direction. Leaves one with a bittersweet ending.

TET (1623) - FINLAND - AUG 5, 2013
A brown yellow beer with a big and blond head. The nose is fruitfull, aromatic yeast, spices, hint of honey and banana, also some lemon. Taste is aromatic and fruitfull, quite strong spicyness, hint of pepper and sour citrusfruits. Medium bodied, high and smooth carbonation, easy and fresh to drink. Actually, quite nice beer; complex, easy to enjoy, but still characteristic.

33cl Bottle, thanks Eric! Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of dry pale malts, quite floral, light yeasty, banana and bubblegum, light hoppy. Flavour is medium-sweet, fruity, banana, dry malty, floral, decent hoppy bitter finish with some citrus. Medium-bodied at best. Nice, reminded me a bit of De Leckere IBA.

Bottle. Pours a hale yellow with a large, white head. Aroma is banana, green apple, acidic and sweet apple. Taste is apple as well, some caramel and pale malt graininess. Spicy and herbal finish. Quite sweet really. Medium with a lot of carbonation. Not that enjoyable on its own, but the acid and savory flavors of eastern-style marinated, grilled pork compliments it well.

Golden glowing with light off white head. Fruity aroma, light dry spice. Clear Belgian yeast profile. Not super complex or impressive, but maybe I’m tainted by the great classics and modern twists. Well developed, good ending. A straightforward and high quality classic without much character. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)
