Bottle, kindly donated by OleR. It pours a clear, dark brown body and a small beige head. Chocolate, cocoa and some burnt malt in the aroma. The flavor has caramel, coffee and cocoa, and burnt malts giving a bitterness that lasts. Medium body, dry. A nice, tasteful and easy drinking beer, but a little more hoppy flavors, especially in the finish would have lifted the experience to a higher level, even though that wouldn’t be right style wise. 100212

Fløska. Clear very deep dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of smoke and roasty caramel with softly roasty malt. Good mouthfeel. Flavour of roasted caramel, smoke, dark fruit and ¨roasty (soft) malt. A tasty Schwarz brew indeed.

500ml bottle bought at Systembolaget in Linköping. Steady, tan coloured head. Almost mahogany in body appearance with great clarity. Rich and attractive aroma of cocoa malts. Earthy malts in flavour developing into the smooth taste of chocolate, cocoa and a few hints of cinnamon spices, and ending with notes a bitter roastiness. Rounded mouth feel. Well made and a pleasure to drink (shared with Finn, Tromsø 01.12.2009).
