500 ml bottle. From Malmö, Sweden.
Dark reddish brown colour with small to average tan head. Roasted malt, sweet chocolate and hints of metal and coffee in aroma. Flavour is roasted malt, coffee and hops. Quite fizzy and thin.

Fløska. Clear very deep dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of smoke and roasty caramel with softly roasty malt. Good mouthfeel. Flavour of roasted caramel, smoke, dark fruit and ¨roasty (soft) malt. A tasty Schwarz brew indeed.

Clear dark red color, small tan head. Green peppers, coffee, dark malty, some cocoa, a bit acidic scent. Sweet, malty, sugary, somce licorice, thin taste. A bit roasted and almiak aftertaste. Thin mouthfeel, low bitterness.

From bottle at Øl og Akevittmessen, Stavanger. Pours black with a small tanned head. Aroma of dark roasted malts. Taste is more roasted malts, tar,dark caramel. Watery mouthfeel.ashy malts, good beer.

(Draught at Flying Scotsman, Stockholm, 2 Oct 2009) Black colour with ruby hints. Frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark bread, dark fruit, well roasted grain and hints of chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, chocolate, roasted malt and a dry, grainy finish with hints of dark fruit. Moderate bitterness. Medium body. Well balanced and nice.

50cl bottle. Black with a quite small brownish head. Coffee, smoke, roasted malt, chocolate in aroma and flavor. Also some sourness in the flavor. Did feel something sweet in the finish and flavors of nuts. On the whole, a rather nice beer.

Bottle@Patricks. Pours dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, some roasted malt, hay and caramel. Flavor is sweet and malty with some chocolate, caramel, and grains. Medium body, average carbonation.

Medium beige head. Barely translucent deep dark red body. Dusty toffee and caramel aroma with roasty wild berry and chocolate notes. Very vivid and harmonic. Dry roasty grainy chocolatey taste with coffee, metal, and fruit notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry roasty grainy burnt aftertaste with oats and resin notes. Excellent! The best dry schwarzbier I’ve ever had. (0.5l bottle, Olympen, Oslo.)

500ml Bottle - Black in colour with a tan head. Roasted malt aroma with coffee, plain chocolate and some faint smoky hints. Roasted taste with coffee, chocolate and some very light smoked hints. Very enjoyable and it has lots of body. Nice and smooth and easy to drink.
