(Draught at Flying Scotsman, Stockholm, 2 Oct 2009) Black colour with ruby hints. Frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark bread, dark fruit, well roasted grain and hints of chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, chocolate, roasted malt and a dry, grainy finish with hints of dark fruit. Moderate bitterness. Medium body. Well balanced and nice.

Very dark brown with creay milk chocolate head. Lovely roasted malt taste, a hint of charcoal and coffee, Caffe latte, actually, as there is milky sweetness in there, too. Avoids getting too sticky, a pleasant Schwarzbier, would be lovely with some smoked pork!

Bottled from Systembolaget Black with avery small, beige head. Coffee, cocoa and dirt in the aroma. Fresh and light-bodied. Burnt malt with caramelle and some licorice. Light, grassy bitterness.

500 ml bottle. From Malmö, Sweden.
Dark reddish brown colour with small to average tan head. Roasted malt, sweet chocolate and hints of metal and coffee in aroma. Flavour is roasted malt, coffee and hops. Quite fizzy and thin.

Bottle ࿒ cl), thanks gnoff. Dark reddish brown, small beige head. Roasted malt aroma, with some notes of burnt rubber and ashtray. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation. Dry with moderate bitterness.

0.5 l bottle from Systembolaget. Very dark reddish brown. Sweet, worty, coffeish, chocolatey and licoricey aroma with hint of sulfur (scrathed matches). Sweet worty chocolatey and coffeish flavor with licorice and hint of smoke and nuts. Full bodied and smooth palate. Despite the sulfur aroma, quite enjoyable beer.

Pours clear deep brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and chocolate. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

50cl bottle from trade with SaintMatty, tried @ hotelroom. Pitch black, opaque color, small to medium sized light brown head. Smell malts, dark malts, slightly caramel, hint of coffee. Taste malts, dark malts, slightly smoke, lightly oatmeal, slightly sweetish, a hint of caramel. Low body, low carbo.

Bottle@Patricks. Pours dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, some roasted malt, hay and caramel. Flavor is sweet and malty with some chocolate, caramel, and grains. Medium body, average carbonation.

0.5 L bottle from Systembolaget, Charlottenberg. Two-finger, mostely diminishing, beige head. Black body with almost no clarity. Fairly dry malt aroma, medium roasted, pepper, dark bread, mild coffee and some fruit tones. Taste is light to medium sweet and dominated by sllightly roasted, ashy dark malts. Notes of burnt caramel, English licorice, milk-chocolate and coffee ground. Mildly hopped, some salty undertones. Slick mouthfeel, not very filling. Dryish, powdery chocolate finish.
