Bottled. Dark color, short head. Aroma of roasted malt, some molasses, bit rye, typical schwarzbier like. Bit bitter taste, slight velvety texture. Bit thin though.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.0%. Black colour, moderate tan head. Roasty aroma, distinct notes of coffee, hints of cocoa, woodwork and ashes. The flavour is smooth and fairly dry, notes of mild coffee and dark chocolate. Low bitterness. Pleasant to drink.

50cl bottle. Black with a quite small brownish head. Coffee, smoke, roasted malt, chocolate in aroma and flavor. Also some sourness in the flavor. Did feel something sweet in the finish and flavors of nuts. On the whole, a rather nice beer.

50cl Bottle via trade with SaintMatty, thanks Matt. Black colour, off white greyish head. Aroma of coffee, leather, ash, dark malts. Flavour is light sweet, coffee, leather, malts, nuts, dry light hoppy bitter finish with some roast. Light bodied. Smell is more pronounced than the flavour, but I liked this one a lot.

(Draught at Monk’s Sveavägen) Poured almost black and clear with medium sized and lightly brown coloured head. Aroma was roasty and chocolaty. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were roastedness, burntness, hint of metallicness, bitterness, coffee and ash. Aftertaste was ashy and burnt.

0.5 l bottle from Systembolaget. Very dark reddish brown. Sweet, worty, coffeish, chocolatey and licoricey aroma with hint of sulfur (scrathed matches). Sweet worty chocolatey and coffeish flavor with licorice and hint of smoke and nuts. Full bodied and smooth palate. Despite the sulfur aroma, quite enjoyable beer.

500 ml bottle. Dark reddish body with a small, but dense beige head. Strong aroma of roasted malt, caramel and chocolate. Flavor is mild, dark malt, dark chocolate and moderate bitter. Very nice, but not outstanding.

0.5 L bottle from Systembolaget, Charlottenberg. Two-finger, mostely diminishing, beige head. Black body with almost no clarity. Fairly dry malt aroma, medium roasted, pepper, dark bread, mild coffee and some fruit tones. Taste is light to medium sweet and dominated by sllightly roasted, ashy dark malts. Notes of burnt caramel, English licorice, milk-chocolate and coffee ground. Mildly hopped, some salty undertones. Slick mouthfeel, not very filling.
Dryish, powdery chocolate finish.
