Palme (3603) - Bergen, NORWAY - DEC 1, 2011
0.5l bottle from Systembolaget Passagen, Stockholm, This one pours a near black body - or actually it’s black with a nice tan creamy head. The aroma has chocolate ice cream, dark malts, caramel and hints of cardboard. It has a average carbonation level and a silky and rich mouthfeel. Quite impressive for a 5 percenter actually. It’s quite dry and chalky in the flavor with tones of roasted or burned malts, lots of cold coffee, some leather hints and a light bitter finish. Not a horrible Schwarz at all, but not completely my thing.

jesperhammer (3544) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 4, 2010
03-DEC-2010, bottle @Ulkløbben @Henrik, from Systembolaget "Boräs". Dark dark brown. Roasted, brown ale like nose. Taste is fine roasted as well, but the brew turns very thin. For a schwartzbier it is fine. I guess I just hoped for a bit more. Still fine brew.

Bottled. Pours out in a dark hazy brown colour with a firm tan-coloured foam. Burnt malts, black coffee and spicy dryish hops in the aroma. Medium-bodied with notes of burnt malts, dark chocolate, nut-shells and grass. Medium-bitter finish of grassy hops, burnt malts and cocoa.

abemorsten (3263) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - NOV 27, 2011
Half litre bottle from Systembolaget Passagen Stockholm. Pours deep obsidian mahogany with a two inch thick, light brown, rocky head that leaves very little lacing as it diminishes into a decent film. Wooden, tobacco, boozy nose with some hints of dried fruits. Sweet, roasted, caramel, tobacco and wooden flavors. Medium body. Light syrupy texture. Gentle carbonation. Medium bitter and toasted finish with a dry tongue.

Marsiblursi (3063) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 6, 2009
(Bottle) Pours dark brown with red hints. Pale nougat coloured head. The aroma is medium to heavily roasted with burned notes. Tones of salty soy, new asphalt, burned/smoky rubber, cigar ash, green pepper/gravel/parsley-like coffee, dry cocoa/dark grainy chocolate, burned caramel, dark bread, nutshells and salty black liquorice. The nose is dry and clean with some “green-ish” hops lurking in the background. The flavour holds some sweetness alongside light to medium bitterness. Tones of caramel, sweet liquorice, soy, dark bready wort, coffee and chocolate (what a surprise). Hops are earthy and green. The mouthfeel is clean and light peppery with a near medium carbonation. Mild earthy roast, light mint and sweet liquorice in the finish. Light to medium bodied.

Yes, jag gillar denna. Det är kul med svart lager, och här har de verkligen fått det till tycker jag. Fina toner av kaffe, choklad, lakrits, lite syrlighet från humle – allt blandat samman till en trevlig
