Bottle. Dark cloudy reddish brown with a medium sized tanned head that lace nicely. Aroma: Grainy with hay, hocolate, crisp bread and grass. Taste: Rasted malts with crisp bread, chocolate and some coffee. Medium body with mushy carbonation that is still ok.

Bottle @home. Drk brown, almost black colour. Off-white head. Malty aroma with a slight acrid roasted note. Hints of chocolate, caramel and vanilla. Flavor is similar to aroma. Medium bodied with a full malty palate. Creamy vanilla from the Munich malt combined with roasted and toasted caramel and chocolate. Feel very much like a pale porter. The bitterness comes in the aftertaste to balance and give an impression of dryness. Very nice and drinkable beer, but maybe just a bit too roasted for the style.

From a bottle at home in Skövde. Redbrown clear with a offwhite head. Malty aroma, dark bread (?). Fruity, a bit bitter taste with nuts.

Det kan vara så att Sigtuna skåpat ut sig själva med Dunkel Lager. Smaken är mättad med allt som är ädelt och kan tävla med de allra bästa i sin genre. Berusande på fler sätt än det mest uppenbara.

The aroma is malty, tangy and has a slightly metallic tone. The taste is very malty, grainy, a little burnt in the roasting, rough, dry and a bit musty. This is not a beer for me!

Mörkrostat doft med tydlig maltkaraktär. Mycket fyllig smak med tydliga brända toner och lakritz. Lite besk eftersmak. Obalanserad

Bottle fro Systembolaget. Pours relay dark with a nice creamy head. Aroma is al about coffee and dark chocolate. Also a creamy, milky feel. Flavor got coffee as well and a medium bitter part. Palate is as expected quite thin and pleasant.

330ml bottle. Pours a dark reddish mahogany, with a beige head. The nose is dominated by roasted malts, chocolate, a light ashy tone, and a faintly medicinal character, some mint, coffee beans, hops. Dry, medium body, medium bitterness, balanced CO2. Roasted malts are heavy on the palate, light smoke, coffee, chocolate, hops, minty spicyness, vaguely earthy, caramel. Described as a munchener, I find it a bit too heavy, and too roasted, more like a fruity schwarzbier. Excellent with chocolate muffins! (2011-09-14)
