330ml bottle. Pours a dark reddish mahogany, with a beige head. The nose is dominated by roasted malts, chocolate, a light ashy tone, and a faintly medicinal character, some mint, coffee beans, hops. Dry, medium body, medium bitterness, balanced CO2. Roasted malts are heavy on the palate, light smoke, coffee, chocolate, hops, minty spicyness, vaguely earthy, caramel. Described as a munchener, I find it a bit too heavy, and too roasted, more like a fruity schwarzbier. Excellent with chocolate muffins! (2011-09-14)

Tones of chocolate/coffee roast and herbal/light citric hops alongside nuts, burned butter cookies and dark bread. The mouthfeel is clean and round with near medium carbonation.
