Bottle traded with Cunningham. Aroma of caramel, dark bread, coffee and earthy hints. Light, tartish and dry mouthfeel with flavour of coffee and dark bread. Light bitter, earthy finish with roast and coffee notes. Very nice beer, quite schwarzbier-like.

330ml bottle. Dark brown with a hint of red. White head. Roasted malt, chocolate, coffee. Mild bitter ending with a sweet touch. Interesting "hybrid".

Dark amber with an off white head - Roasted malt aroma with some coffee notes - good malt body with some roasted malt and hints of caramel and some coffee in the back and olso some bitterness - Roasted malt in the finish - this was quite nice

Bottle 0.33l from Systembolaget, Haparanda. Colour is dark brown with small white head. Aromas and flavour are bread, bitterness and roasted malts.

It’s red-brown with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of nuts, roasted malt, caramel, and the flavor has a light sweetness and a light roasted bitterness with notes of roasted malt, caramel, nuts, burnt sugar and a touch of licorice towards the roasted finish. Quite nice!

Bottle. Pours a dark amber ruby color with a longlasting off-white head. Has a fruity malty bready caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with bitter chocolate hints. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel and chocolate finish with bitter hoppy hints.

Dark amber with small head. Roasted, sweet aroma. Hints of chocolate goes well with the moderate hopping.

I wish I’d tasted the Sigtuna Vinterlager together with this one, and not yesterday. Right now I feel like I’m drinking the same beer once more, but I’m sure there are some differences… It looks quite different though: the Dunkel Lager is dark copper and the small, frothy and very light-brown head are gone in no time and leaves little lacing. The moderate aroma is roasted with caramel, mild coffee and hints of ash. The taste is light sweet and light to moderate bitter, I guess the Dunkel Lager is a bit less bitter than the Vinterlager. Roasted flavour profile with coffee with fruits and berries on top (more fruity than the Vinterlager). Nice mouthfeel, although I got some vague metallic hints in the first few sips. Dry texture, especially the finish is dry. Soft carbonation.
