2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma is pretty bready malts, slightly earthy and herbal. The taste sadly contains a little too much of the same with a soft toffee aura and dry finish. Medium bitter end. And the verdict, well considering that it is an "English Pale Ale" I have to respect that they are trying to find the "classic" taste, but that’s not how I roll. I want my stuff hopped to death. But if that style scratches your back in the correct way, maybe you’ll like it?

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl bottle from Systembolaget, Strömstad. Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Fairly malty aroma with caramel and some fruity and hoppy notes, hints of pine and citrus and some metallic notes too. Medium sweet with moderate caramel and fruity flavours and a slightly dry and bitter finish. Fair enough, but hardly impressive and nothing I would buy again.

Bottle 0,33l. Pours a clear dark golden color and with a small, light beige head. The aroma of some citrus peel and pale malts, with some pine cones. A nice bitterness in the flavor, with the rest of the flavors too low, except for bready malts. Medium body.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml brown bottle poured into a Tulip glass. Appearance is clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange peels, pine and caramel. Flavours of orange peels, grapefruit and caramel. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter. Palate is medium bodied, somewhat thin texture and soft carbonation. Overall Sigtuna East Coast Pale Ale is rather average for the style, it’s a bit too thin, flat and one dimensional.
