Joakgust (96), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 20, 2007 Updated: Jun 18, 2008On tap in the brewery and in Man in the Moon. Golden orange color with a bit frothy off white head. Strong notes of pineapple and tropical fruits in the aroma, with hints of esters and spices. Flavor is fixed again to sourish tropical fruits and esters but with a good dry finish somehow making one think it to be a "belgian pale ale" type of beer.
Always a definate buy whenever I find it in a pub! Magicdave6 (4092), London, Greater London, England Aug 28, 2007 Bottle thansk to ?, rbesg07. Alround a great belgiun ale, yeasty fruity esters, banana and plum, spicey dry finish. Powerful aroma of bitter orange marmelade and yeast with a medicinal touch. Sweet and solidly malty, rather spritzy with interesting esters covered in salt. Full bodied with a wealth of grassy hops leading to a long bitter finish - De Ranke XX Bitter style. A daring, unusual brew. ante (2554), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 3, 2007 Draught at Monks Café, Stockholm. Hazy dark golden with a rich and rocky white head. Dryish and spicy hop aroma with touches of yeast and grass. The flavour starts dry, grassy and spicy but sweetter nots comes throuch of butter jammed oranges and white bread. Hoppy and yeasty grassy and peppery finish with a disturbing note of diacetyl.
