Dark brown with a tiny brown head. malty with roasted tones. Malt, coffee, chocolate and bitterness. Full body with a long balanced finish.

Smak och doft av choklad, malt, laktris, torkad frukt, kaffe och en aning vanilj. Oljig i konsistens, lagom söt och med en lagom beska. Rund och fin.

Pours black with low tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, spices, chocolate and coffee. Taste is thick with chocolate and coffee bitterness. Creamy body. Much better than the previous version! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark with low off white head Aromas off chocolate, black malts, dark fruits, hints of vanilla Bitter, medium sweetness, loads of coffee.

Bottled from Systembolaget Black with a small, beige head. Roasted aroma with tar and peat. Medium to high bitterness. Salty licorice and salmiak in the aroma.

@ Tiddes Bar. Pours pitch black with a small bubbly had leaving lacing. Aroma is roasted malty sweet caramel green apples tary chocolate. Flavor is sweet fruity roasted malty chocolate coffee bitter vanilla. Finishes bitter roasted and sweet.

Riktigt mörk brun/svart. Fick ett stort och tjock brunt skum som lämnade fina rester i glaset. Doftar mjölkchoklad, russin, rostad malt, bröd. Smakar chokladigt, en del kaffe, lakrits, lätt bränd smak. Ganska torr. Gott som fan! Oljig och tjock vätska. Blev riktigt överraskad av den här. Grym bärs!

Aroma: Very much roasted malt in the smell, burnt bread, dark roasted coffee beans, dark dried sweet fruits.
Appearance: The beer is dark dark brown, a high brown head, good lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Starting very sweet, dark syrup, figs, raisins, marmalade, dark coffee, chocolate and bitter orange peel.
Palate: Little carbonation, sticky and oily, a heavy body, a very dry finish.
Overall: This year it was even better, and at lower ABV.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2013 Bottle from Systembolaget. 23 SEK. Blind tested yesterday evening at the yearly Winter/Christmas seasonal brew testing. Re-rated with higher score. Will probably gain further over time.

Bottle. Black with a brown head that doesn’t last very long. Aroma: milk chocolate, fruity, roasted. Taste: chocolate, licorice, roasted, fudge, dark fruit, syrup, Digestive biscuits. Medium bodied, smooth. I never had a problem with the 2011 version being almost flat. Actually preferred that one, but this is nice.
