Bottle from the LCBO. Pours a deep black with a thick tan head. The nose is awesome. Caramel and cocoa with a bit of soft smoked malt and a touch of saltiness. There is a little bit of plummy fruit character through the middle. Soft sweetness on the palate with some nice fudgey character. A little bit of soft cocoa with a nice light roastiness. Damn tasty beer.

Bottle. Opaque black liquid with a thick, medium to big sized mocha head. Nice lacing. Aroma of fresh ground coffee, dark fruit, ash, bitter chocolate, bread, smoke and some sweet alcohol. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter with notes of coffee, piney hops and light ash. Medium to full bodied with medium carbonation. Not flat as last year’s version. This one’s actually really good. Nice going.

Black as sin, the muskavadosugar sets a tone to the aroma. Full, rich flavour that carries while being very well balanced with a nice light finish. You can actually drink a mouthful. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance: Black color with a nice big bubbly beige head. Fine lacing.
Aroma: Roasted malt, chocolate and some fruity notes.
Palate: Thick oily body. Slightly sweet, with a mild bitterness. Creamy carbonation.
Taste: Cold coffee, chocolate, roasted malt and some fruity notes. Well hidden alcohol.
Overall impression: Well balanced and smooth. Lovely beer. And I can still not spot the difference between Imperial Stout and Imperial Strong Porter. I thought this was an Imp Stout.
Personal stats: Bottle from Systembolaget in Strömstad, Sweden.
