Bottle. Black with a brown head that doesn’t last very long. Aroma: milk chocolate, fruity, roasted. Taste: chocolate, licorice, roasted, fudge, dark fruit, syrup, Digestive biscuits. Medium bodied, smooth. I never had a problem with the 2011 version being almost flat. Actually preferred that one, but this is nice.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Near black, small beige head. Aroma of licorice and coffee. Mid sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Salty with some salmiak and leather, plenty of licorice. Long bitter finish with some warmth. Potent, yet balanced and harmonious.

(Bottle). Fresh and delicious aroma of roasted coffee and dark chocolate with hints of smoke, fruits, orange and hops. Dry and sweet taste of coffee, roasted malt and dark chocolate with a distinct but quite soft hops bitterness in the finish. I like the dry tone from the oats. The alcohol of 8% is well hidden. A nice and tasty beer! And extremely much more enjoyable than the 2011 version!
