Bottle at ChrisO tasting, thanks to Ronny, 30/12/12. Very dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head that clears to the edge. Nose is roast malt forward, dark toffee, a little hoppage, chocolate notes. Taste comprises roast malts, chocolate, toffee, sweet sugars, background hops. Full end of medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a sweet roasty finish. Good stuff!

33cl bottle. A gift from a friend. Best before 2014-10-01. I poured a pitch black colour with a big creamy off-white head. Aroma is big and laden with liqorice, coffee, roasted malts and dark chocolate. Flavour is moderately bitter. Lots of liqorice and coffee, but also dark chocolate, vanilla, tar and some fruit. Long, lingering aftertaste. A very nice beer indeed.

Flaska. Läckert svart vätska med moccafärgat skum. I doften hittas mörk choklad, lakrits, röda bär. Torr munkänsla, viss kolsyrighet. Besk eftersmak. Mörk choklad, kaffe, lakrits och svag rökighet intar munnen. Ljuvlig.

Spab (2301) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 10, 2013
330 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a very dark brown with modest-sized mocha-coloured head. Aroma is rich and roasty/smoky, with dark fruit, wood, coffee and treacle. Flavour is also very roasty, verging on smoky, but also slightly sweet with lots of coffee, raisins and other dark, dried fruit, as well as a real woodiness and some molasses and graininess. Body on the full side of medium. Slick mouthfeel. Impressive.

Eructoblaster (2957) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 26, 2013
Bottle - 330ml. Pours an opaque black body with low carbonation and a fading beige foamy/creamy head. Strong malty/hoppy aroma with licorice, chocolate, and roasty hints. Alcohol is subtle. Its very well balanced malty/hoppy taste carries cocoa, coffeeish, oaky, and roasted cereals notes. Texture is soft, oily. Ends with a long, warming bittersweet finish. Very good winter warmer!
