Bottled, from Systembolaget. Near black, small beige head. Aroma of licorice and coffee. Mid sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Salty with some salmiak and leather, plenty of licorice. Long bitter finish with some warmth. Potent, yet balanced and harmonious.

Pours dark brown with a small brown head. Really tiny bubbles, always a pleasure to see.
Sweet aromas hits my nose at first, then coffee and chocolate, both smooth. Some roasted malt, orange and vanilla as well.
Taste is quite sweet with chocolate first, then coffee, roasted malt and bitter hops at the end.
Aftertaste is dry and hoppy bitter.

Bottle at Chriso tasting new year 2012/13. Black beer lasting tan head. Malty choccy aroma. Really tarry. intense.

Smak och doft av choklad, malt, laktris, torkad frukt, kaffe och en aning vanilj. Oljig i konsistens, lagom söt och med en lagom beska. Rund och fin.

Bottle. Black colour with a small tan head. Aroma is fruit, chocolate. Flavour of chocolate, liquorice, dark fruit.

Aromas off chocolate, black malts, dark fruits, hints of vanilla
Bitter, medium sweetness, loads of coffee.

330ml bottle. Dark brown with a small brief whitebrown head. Roasted malt, mature plums, cold coffee, darkk chocolate fudge, licorice and pumpernickle. A bit sweet and dry taste. Fizzy carbonation, small bubbles. Nice warmth from alcohol in the aftertaste, and an aroma that reminds me of red wine.
Not at all bad, but perhaps a bit smooth and mild for an IP, which is wh I’m savin one for next year.
