Bottle at home. Black with a brown head, some lacings. Aroma heavy malty (roasted, licorice), soma alcohol. Flavor heavy sweet, some bitterness from tha roasted malts and hops, some alcohol. Almost full body. Nice winterwarmer.

500ml bottle. Pours a dark brown, slightly hazy, with a thin, quickly disappearing, beige head. Roasted, spicy aromas, chocolate, coffee beans, cappuccino, hops, honey, yeast, smoke. Sweet, full bodied, medium to high bitterness, low CO2. Roasted, malty taste, chocolate, coffee, cloves, cinnamon, honey, licorice, smoke. Big and complex, but it really lacks in structure and stringency. The low carbonation adds to the cloying feeling. (2012-01-14)

Nice one finger head. Black. Aroma gives a sense of coffe and some liquorice. In the mouth it has a medium to full body with at taste of coffe, liquorice and coffe. The alcohol is quite preset in a nice way. Nice bitter finnish.

Thanks GT2! Dark brown pour with a nice tan head. Dirty earth, coffee, bakers chocolate, and lactic sugar gives way to some dark fruit sweetness and vegetal notes. Palate is a bit light, while the finish is dry and chalky.

Pours very light for style: clear cola we bubbly tan head. Looks deep brune in glass. Nose is roasted coffee, dark chocolate, lactose sugar, rum soaked sweet cherries, grenadine, cinnamon glazed nuts. Taste is a bit boozy and Christmas spicy with drying palate. A bit chalky. Spicy, thicker. Nice enough. Mildly tart, somewhat sweet overall. Nice Christmas character. I liked it even though some folks picked up vegetal characters. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled@my birthdaybash@Chriso. Black colour, small off-white head. Arroma is liquorice, some herbs, mild roasted malts, ashes and some slight dark fruity and berryish notes. Flavour is caramel, roasted malts, bigtime ashes as well as mild alcohol and some slight earthy and herbal notes.

Clear reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and dusty coffee. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 271211
