Nja, det här var kanske ingen favorit. Kroppen är stabil och bra men smaken och beskan något för torr och hård. Smaken flirtar lite med fruktighet och ’gräsighet’ men den når inte hela vägen fram.

Bottle (50cl) from Vinmonopolet (Vika), Oslo. Half-inch off-white creamy head that settles as a robust film with some lacing. Clear amber colour. Enticing aroma of hops, fruit (grapefruit, pineapple, cherry), dust, almonds, caramel and hint of smoke. Medium body, lively yet soft carbonation. Taste is mostly dry, quite well balanced by a discreet fruity sweetness. Finishes with a rough bitterness that might need food accompaniment to take the edge off.

Bottle at home. Has a clear reddish amber colour with a medium light beige head. Fruity aromas of hops, berries, grapefruit, oak and dried fruit. A lot of hops in the flavours along with apricot, tropical fruits, sweet malt, leather and some roast. Soft and sparkly mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. A good ale that reminds me of an IPA.

ClubGonzo (3520) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 25, 2012
Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Pours a deep amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma is red berries, caramel, toffee, hints of pineapples and red apples. Nice. Taste is melon, red berries, straw and hints of bitter grass and pine. Parching mouthfeel, which draws it back a little. Still decent, all in all.

tfredvik (942) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 24, 2012
Dark amber body with an off-white, long-lived head, good lacing. Quite strong aroma with plenty of floral notes, this is like sitting in the middle of a meadow full of flowers! Also fruits, caramel and lightly roasted notes. Light to moderate sweet taste, moderate bitter finish. Not that strong flavours, but they are pleasant: flowers, fruits, caramel and faint citric notes. Smooth mouthfeel, soft to medium carbonation and a light dry finish. A nice and gentle ale.
[50 cl bottle, enjoyed 1 day before BB date (oooh, a close shave!), from Vinmonopolet online]

Tap@wirströms. Reddish. Clear. Malty, pines. Good bitterness. Feels soft and smooth, a bit thick also (for an ale). Nice, well hopped, ale. Good balance imo.

_angst_ (2371) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 19, 2012
330 ml bottle bought through Systembolaget. Pours clear dark amber with a small frothy offwhite head that quickly dissipates while leaving some lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet with caramel, grass, orange zest, toffee, vanilla, unripe mango, bread, dried papaya and subtle hints of old eggs. Taste is sweet, bitter and metallic with bread, freshly cut grass, lemon balm, caramel, orange peal, sheet metal, resinous wood and hints of overripe apples, wet leaves and rotten eggs. Mouthfeel is slightly dry, oily bitter and light to medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with caramel, orange peal, freshly cut grass and resin.
