Rastacouere (5202), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jun 10, 2007 Bottle, Oliver twist fest Small 70L batch, 1g of coffee per liter on top of the chocolate. Rather generous light brown head covers the pretty black pour. Rather intense, dark chocolate nose bringing out a fair bit of acidity. Deep roastiness with a mild fruitiness emerging through, but not necessarily individual notes, just a rather general fruity feel, possibly even from the chocolate. medium bodied, fairly grainy bitterness. A good effort from Sigtuna, especially having brought the cocoa back themselves! oh6gdx (5199), Vaasa, Finland Jun 5, 2007 Bottled. Black opaque colour, with small beigeish head. Really dark chocolate in aroma along with some hints of coffee and vanilla. Also some bittering hops. Flavour is dry dark fruit along with chocolate and a lot of roasted notes. omhper (10141), Stockholm, Sweden Jun 4, 2007 Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Completely black, small head. Roasty licorice/chocolate aroma. Dry and crisp, intensely roasty. Fairly light bodied. Licorice mingles with chocolate in the finish. Lighter and more crisp than I’d guessed it to be.
