Decent good scent. But the taste is really good anyway. The aftertaste is left a little while. A good beer anyway I think. Worth trying anyway.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 fantti (442) - FINLAND - FEB 18, 2013
Pours hazy and golden in weizen glass, foam is more than 4 fingers thick and it is soap-like. Aroma has a lot of banana and winegums. Spices (pink and pepper) are also present. Taste has again banana, but almost more citrusy fruit. Beneath is spices and pine needles. The hoppiness is feeling. Palate is little carbonated, otherwise it is quite dull. All in all, the hoppiness bring nice touch to this weizen, which is not my favourite style. And this is not just hops, they just bring nice touch.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Palme (2252) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 29, 2013
0.5l bottle. This one has a big massive fluffy head on top of a light cloudy dark orange-ish body. The aroma is really nice with wheat, some sweetness, there is also a nice citrus-hoppines and tones of caramel, oranges and yeast. It’s quite lively carbonated with big mineral water-like bubbles. It’s quite a different weiz this. Sharp and hoppy, lot’s of bitterness mixed in between the typical wheat-yeast combination. I get a taste that remind me a bit of minty toothpaste. Or more precise like drinking grapefruit juice after brushing your teeth. Some tangerines towards the finish. An enjoyable hybrid this. Could most definitely have this again. 03.11.2012
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 tfredvik (630) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 24, 2013
Rather dark orange cloudy body, at least when the body starts to appear: at first the glass is mostly a huge, frothy, white head. After a few minutes the bottle is empty and the head has settled into a long-lasting layer that laces the glass well. The aroma is strong, dry and sweet with the regular hefeweizen spices, banana and yeast, but there are also an increased level of hoppy notes. The extra hops are mostly in the aroma and flavours, even though there is a bit extra bitterness as well, I’d say the finish is light to moderate bitter. The flavours are strong with banana, spices, yeast and some nice notes of peach and mango, also some floral notes. Medium body, oily to dry texture with some extra dryness in the finish, lively carbonation. A lovely hefeweizen, even though the name led me to expect even more hoppy notes and bitterness.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Cunningham (2972) - Halden, NORWAY - JAN 6, 2013
Appearance: Hazy yellow golden color with a big white head that leaves a fine lacing. Aroma: Wheat, yeast and a some nice citric notes. Palate: Medium pluss body. Moderate sweet and an unusual fine bitterness for a German hefeweize. Rich carbonation. Flavor: Fresh wheat and hops. Light banana, some yeast and a bit citric. Overall impression: One of the best German hefeweize I have had. Super tasty and powerful. The hops they have added worked perfect. Location: Bottle from Systembolaget in Strömstad, Sweden
