3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Rune (6125) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAR 27, 2013
330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo. Rocky and dense beige head that stays well over a dark brown body with a rustic shade. Spotty lacing. Aroma of vanilla chocolate. Taste of grainy malts, nuts and brittle caramel. Dry bittersweet tail. Easy to drink. The beer lost some of its smell and flavour after a while in the glass. (Tromsø, 25.03.2013).
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Palme (2252) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 29, 2013
0.33l bottle. This is a clear deep dark chestnut-brown one with a nice medium sized almost fluffy-creamy ashy top. It has an aroma filled with dark malts, some sweet dried fruits, chocolate paper, cold coffee and something light nutty. It’s quite lively and almost what you can call creamy-fizzing on the carbonation, and it has a mild oily - to watery mouthfeel. Some light burned thing in the taste, more dark malts, burned toasty nuts perhaps? I’m not sure really. Dry cocoa powder and a present, but watery bitterness towards the finish. Slightly mineral-ish also. Not unpleasant to drink really, but it tastes more like a swarch than a lager. Expected less, got more. 27.11.2012
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 OleR (4247) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 24, 2012
Bottle, bought @Vinmonopolet, Vika. Throws a massive rocky ashy-blond head, over a hazed ruby colored body. Discreet aroma. Some sappy fruits and hint of sweet bread. Watered down mouthfeel. Less than medium full. Light sour-accented malt flavor. Vague bitterness. Not bad, not very attractive either. Typical filtred and pasteurized lager appearance.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tfredvik (630) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 22, 2012
Very good-looking clear copper body with a huge, rather creamy, light-brown head that is very long-lived and laces the glass well. Looks very aggressively carbonated, I spent quite some time emptying the bottle in my glass. Moderate aroma that is very roasted with distinct notes of coffee, some caramel and vague fruity hints. This smells like a stout or porter to me! Light sweet taste and a moderate bitter finish. Roasted and stout-like flavours with coffee. Also burnt sugar, fruits and yeast far in the back. Even the mouthfeel is that of a dry stout, maybe apart from the rather lively carbonation. A quite nice stout…uh… dunkel.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ClubGonzo (2708) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 13, 2012
Bottle. Deep clear bronze body with a red ue and a massive creamy off-white head. Now that’s how a beer should look like! :-) Aroma is dark malts, rye-ish grainy tones, Norwegian brown cheese, hints of caramel and some light astringent tones in the back. Taste is grains, nuts, roasty bread crumbs, hints of burnt sugar and caramel. Assertive and rather nice. Full body, medium carbonation. A pleasant dunkel with good looks and a nice body. Maybe it should do some modelling. ;-)
