pivnizub (3768), Porúří, Germany Jul 18, 2008 Bottle (purchased at the Brauerei): Hazy, copper coloured, stable off-white head; bitter barnyardy nose with a good dash of sweet toasted malt; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, quite soft MF; toasted malt, again, and a tinge of yeast in the robust sweet-bitter finish. Good, chewy Zwickel......... MoritzF (3690), Ruhrpott, Germany May 6, 2008 (33cl bottle) Hazy, dark amber colour with a thick, slightly off-white foamy head. Just slightly yeasty, sweet and slightly toasty malt aroma with nutty-fruity accents and woody hops in the background. Light-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Toast-malty, slightly yeasty and fruity taste with light notes of caramel; medium-dry, sweet and slightly bitter, light-toasty finish with light woody hops. Mild and palatable brew. The label design reminds me of the 50ties-style Sigurd comic-strips (06.05.08).
