The original blond version of Sara, since 1991, probably Belgium’s first buckwheat beer. Thick, yellowish, stable head, beautiful lacing; warm copper colour, hazy with deposit. Grainy and fruity aroma with sourish buckwheat, apple, melon, cake, cheese, vanilla; fruity taste, sweetish with a fresh sourish accent and something metallic in the background, spicy, more caramelly, different sweetishness in the finish, a little bit sticky. A true ’specialty grain’ and very tasty.

Een bier met een speciale smaak, maar niet mijn ding. Misschien voor andere mensen wel

Hazy white-yellow beer with a huge fluffy white head. Aroma of citrus and wheat. Flavour is soft, grainy and medium sweet. Reminds me of a belgian white. (Bottle 33cl)

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Barley Legal Tasting Room. Thanks to Kraddel! Pale, clear golden beer with only some sad white bubbles for the head. Smells of plastic, soggy grains, artificial sweetener, white sugar, nasty wet barn. Taste is same, soggy wet grains, plastic, fake, wet & soggy barn, bitter, artificial, white sugar, unpleasant. Thin, touch watery & metallic. I am definitely not a fan of this brewery.

Bottle. Hazy light pale body with frosty medium white head. Aroma has light citrus notes, yeasty, very light sourness, spicy. Taste has light citrus sweetness, almost none bitterness, pretty watery. Body is medium, over-carbonated.

Bottle 25cl (Saveur)
Yellow color, small mostly vanishing white head. Aroma has citrus, honey and grainy notes. Quite light body for 6% beer, crisp carbonation. Dry, fruity citrusy flavor. Orange peel flavors which leave quite "plastic" feeling. Light bitterness. Not big fan of this.

ruigo (1153) - PORTUGAL - APR 23, 2014
Shared a 33cl from Delhaize (Luxembourg). Pours a hazy very pale yellow colour with a thin white head. Aroma is citrus, yeast and grassy. Average frizzy carbonation and light to medium body. Taste is medium bitter and light sweet with a acid finish. The carbonation hides the flavour a little. Overall, a refreshing beer but lacks in character.

31/I/14 - 75cl bottle @ home - BB: XII/2016 (2014-134)

Clear pale straw yellow beer, creamy white irregular head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of coriander, bit soapy, grains, some hay, bit of orange peel. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: little bitter, lots of coriander, bit soapy, some citrus peel. Aftertaste: little bitter, coriander, soapy, bit of an unpleasant ending. Meh, very mediocre.

Jaune voilée, effervescence moyenne, col blanc fin. Une blanche de sarrasin qui rassemble la plupart des caractéristiques d’une blanche classique: citronnée, un peu de coriandre, une bonne petite amertume sur la fin. Seul l’ABV est un peu plus élevé.
