(Bottle, courtesy of Reid) Pours a murky reddish-brown body with a descent beige head. Aroma of spruce, white grapes, caramel, and a hint of smoke. Flavor of malt, sourness, and figs.

This is a hearty version of Duchesse De Bourgogne. Yes, this is American and the other is not. Still, a hint or more of sour - yet a finish of bitter. Hits at least two areas of the taste buds. And there is a lot of sediment. Could this be bottle conditioned? Or at least alive? Could be my number three choice for that desert island.

Poured a darker and cloudy brownish red with an averaged sized off white head. I had a hard time picking out anything in this one, but I’ll try. Malty. Light caramel, bready, light oranges and some dark fruits. Light alcohol in the finish.

Clear brown appearance, decent head formation. Caramel malt aroma, piney hops, slightly minty. Quick, lightish palate, plenty of caramel malts, horse chestnut, leading to a big fuller hoppy finish. Decent flavor just a little light in body.

(22oz bottle) Medium beige head atop a hazy dark copper body. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, some pine/grapefruit, cherry, fig. Taste is moderately sweet, cherry, caramel, some grapefruit, light pine. Somewhat sticky medium-full body, quite drinkable. Very enjoyable. Warning: it loses much of its appeal as it approaches room temp.

sweet malty, slightly hoppy nose, absolutely no head, thick red/brown body, very flat, watery mouthfeel, sweet crispy malt flavor, wet finish, nothing to write home about but as long as it does in fact ’get my mojo working’ there shouldn’t be a problem, the first of many beers on my 21st Birthday... if you forget about the IPA I drank last night after midnight, lord knows I did

A thin watery mess. Seven malts and four hop varieties and not one stands out to make a statement.

Best siletz I’ve had. A brown ale that gets the mojo on the road yo. A very natural tasting beer. They put in some sweat and letted nature take her course. Do it!
