COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A truly unique beer made from the finest Northwest barley malts and Spruce tips. We use a small amount of hops for bittering and all the rest of the flavor comes from tender, new-growth Sitka spruce tips. Amazingly fruity and full bodied!

Bottled. An amber beer with sediment floating around under a thick off-white head. The aroma is acidic malty with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with hints of acidity and notes of malt, citrus, and spruce, leading to a dry lemony finish. The body is thin.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Clear amber golden with a very tall and lively rough head. Strange aroma of wax. Medium body with an almost violent carbonation and citrusy accents dominating. Dry and astringent finish. 291208

Muddy light brown with golden-amber highlights. Sweet sprucey notes with hints of earthy malt. The palate is sweet, sprucey/bubblegummy, with hints of caramelly, earthy malts. A little heavy and malty - I dig lighter, more vibrant spruce ales.

amber, whispy head, sweet spicy aroma, very sprucy flavor from the sitka tree lasting well past the aftertaste, spicy, slightly fruity, different, not a session beer, but quite tasty

(Bottle) Pours a lightly hazy amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of spruce and citrus. Flavor of spruce, juicy grapefruit, toasted malt, and some floral hops with a finish that reminds me of a soda fountain drink with the syrup running dry (more carbonation than it should have). Very interesting beer, but could not finish a full bottle on my own.
