Oakes (7030), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jan 24, 2003 The other ratings suggest numerous other styles and they're right in a way - this doesn't fit neatly into the established lager pantheon. But that's one of the things I like about this beer. It is more of an unfiltered country lager - landbier or zwickelbier. I didn't really pick up on the high alcohol content. Hazy bronze colour; malty, crusty aroma. Malty, slightly buttery body, a little hop. Herbal finish. Interesting beer, stylistically vague in the Franconian tradition. kp (6300), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Updated: May 7, 2008Date: 05/23/2007
yet another infected siletz beer, it would almost be a disappointment if siletz bottled a beer that was not infected,
argo0 (6284), Washington DC, USA Feb 28, 2007 (22oz bottle) Cloudy copper body topped by small beige head. Aroma is mild, medium sweet, bread/cereal, lime, some uric acid. Taste is medium sweet, bread, some lime, light alcohol. Medium body, light stickiness. Rastacouere (5418), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jan 31, 2005 Draft, Redbones. Hazy light orange. Shy off-white head. Gentle earthy malts combining with a deep earthy munich/vienna malts profile blending in with subtle grassy and floral hops. Bready, substantial balance. Light palate, very crisp and drinkable. Subdued german hops, truly growing on you with a rocky dryness. Wild in nature, fieldish, mature and fruity. Good! duff (5407), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Jun 7, 2004 Tap@Siletz Brewpub. Huge hit of bruised apple to start, some pear aswell. Citric hops finish, a tad bit dull after there other beers, some alcohol showing at the end.
