blueduk (118), Eugene, Oregon, USA Feb 15, 2007 Poured a hazy orangey amber with a barely-existant off-white head.
Aromas of sweet malts. Caramel, toffee, honey, vanilla. A touch of hop resin perhaps a dash of madiera.
Flavor is very, very sweet. Not much bitterness and a long, smooth, slick experience. Velvety and flat.
If you’re familiar with the candy Bit-O-Honey, you will undoubtedly find that in this beer. As it warns, the flavors are a dead ringer. I can’t say I’ve had a lager quite like this before, and I would have it again if the circumstances were right.
SudsMcDuff (1034), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston,TX, Texas, USA Oct 7, 2008 finally get to try a Kellerbier... pours a dark medium murky brown colour ... wow, this is an interesting style, has a nice mouthfeel but the aftertaste is what is strange(new to me), some sourness and tweakness , but refreshing and not drying out like sour ales ... i can see liking this style alot more with more practice (and different samples) but this beer is still kinda nice. lacing is ’a new rug’ .... the aftertaste is so wicked and different, i can see most people hating this beer, but to the few who love shocking refresh beers and sour ales, should love this!! ..first bottle from BT... BrewDad (1711), Olympia, Washington, USA Aug 12, 2008 22oz Bomber - Siletz Brewing Company - Siletz, OR

Aroma – Huge infected bottle. Very sweet to off sour aroma.
Appearance – Amber in Color, Thick head and clear.
Flavor – Nasty drain pour beer. The beer was super sour and this was not a Lambic. It was a nasty infected beer.
Palate – Terrible Mouthfeel, horrible texture with a sour finish.
Overall – One of the worst beers I have had in a long time I poured it down the drain I hope the others I got from Siletz are ok.
timfoolery (379), California, USA Aug 7, 2008 Bottle from PC Market of Choice in Ashland, OR. Now I know why they had this crap on sale for $1.99 for a 22oz. Holy Lord, this was Siletz’s version of the nasty Jelly Bellys they made for Harry Potter movies. I guess Wooly Bully was right on because this one was dead on beef (or buffalo) jerky. Yuck. I’d rather have Coors Light (you know, the dark-side!). DTM (404), Winters, California, USA Jul 31, 2008 Bottle from PC Market of Choice in Ashland, OR. Not much to say about this one. I swear it almost tasted like beef jerky. Which is not all that bad of a taste, but not in a beer. It was sweet and malty. I would have poured it down the drain, but we were camping. This was a tree pour. ABUSEDGOAT (1924), California, USA Jul 13, 2008 Darker golden color, almost no head, virtually no lacing or retention. Aroma is gas, sour malts, sweet malts, uh... not good. Medium bodied, sweet with a somewhat hot finish. I don’t see the point.
