Bottle 330ml. @ home.
Clear medium orange amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light roasted, moderate to light light heavy yeasty, overripped dark fruit, spicy, sweet pipe tobacco. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, burnt caramel notes, soap notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100421]

A hazy dark amber beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of yeast, coriander, and oranges with a very slight sour tinge. The flavor is sweet yet a little sour with a metal tinge. The sweet/sour combination reminds me of a Flemish Sour Ale. The flavor contains notes of yeast and coriander and leads to a very dry spicy end.

33 cL bottle, thanks to faroeviking. Pours hazy orange with a white lacing head. Nutty and malty aroma, dry and slight dusty. Flavour is slight mouldy, yeasty, nutty and slight sweet. Ends quite mellow and nicely balanced. Has a slight berry note in the finish.

(Bottle 25 cl) 7,5% ABV in this version. Unusually this is only light brown with a delicious, creamy head. Some faint smoky notes with a dry touch of caramel. Satisfactory. 150599

Bottled. Amber colour, big creamy beige head, lots of lace. Aroma is caramel malts, some yeast and dark fruits. Also some slight tones of alcohol. Flavour is dry dark fruit, caramel malts, grass, slight metal and yeast. Also some hoppy bitterness.

Bottled at DBF 2005. Orange coloured with a white head. Infected buttery aroma with fruity notes. Flavour of butter, fruits, malts and caramel. Could have been nice, but is spoiled due to infection.

Amber coloured. Roasty, bitter and deliciously complex.

Bottle, 8%. Yeasty aroma, sweet fruity, sugary, malty notes. Hazy dark orange colour. Very small head. The flavour is a little sweet with OK maltiness, but there is also some metallic notes to it.

Clear gold/amber with white bubbly head. Aroma is fruity & malty plus a bit citric/metallic. Sweet fruity taste. Some herbal & spicy notes. Good lacings. After a few sips - quite tasty. A bit warm & pleasant. Caramel sweetness. Long end. Nice!

Bottled 08-2000, 4 ys old. 7.5% ABV.
Beautiful copper color; creamy head. Malt aroma, sweet, caramel, wood; quite fruity, spicy (nutmeg); well aged. Good mouthfeel, initially sweet, but then well balanced; malty, a lot of sweet caramel; apples, alcohol perception. Excellent (fruity and malty) Belgian Strong Ale.
