Bottle in Japan. Pretty strong hoppiness. Bitter, a little sour, dank yeasty flavor. A tad oily, mild carbonation. An average beer, but something a bit different from your average IPA or what-have-you.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
75cl bottle. Light brown or dark amber with a white, small head. Nose : raisins with butterscotch milky aromas. Cherry esters. Malt notes are toffee/coffee like. Little alcohol. Sip : Oily with a little creamy body. Small carbonation. Sweet with raisin notes. Bitter cocoa feeling after a while. Smooth like milk. Quite balanced overall. Nothing special but without a doubt an enjoyable double beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Hazy amber colour with brief, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of toast, orange peel, rubber, earthy hops and a slight touch of acidity. Malty, fruity taste with treacle toffee, caramel, orange peel, burnt sugar and a nicely balanced spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite nice.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
75cl Bottle, Amber-coloured body with a medium head. Caramel and malts in the nose. Taste is very sweet with hints of caramel and sugar. This beer doesn’t feel and taste like it has 8%. Dry and sweet aftertaste.
Not that bad but not that great too. I like their Scotch more.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Caramel, malts and alcohol in the aroma while the appearance is orange-brown. The flavor is heavy on the caramel and sugary as well as sticky. Not as flavorful as it could be but still pretty good.
