argo0 (6284), Washington DC, USA Oct 28, 2006 (33cl bottle) Pillowy medium off-white head atop lightly hazed apple juice body. Aroma is medium sweet, herbal, yeasty. Taste is medium sweet, herbal, orange/peach, some candi sugar, coriander. Light-medium body, quite drinkable. CaptainCougar (4687), Rockville, Maryland, USA Nov 25, 2006 Pours a mostly transparent hazy golden with a large, frothy and well-lacing white head. Sweet, slightly biscuity Saaz hop and lager yeast profile make for a strange, but not unappealing aroma. First sip starts sweet and pale malty drying out toward a more bitter, earthy finish with a touch of honey and coriander. Body is lively in carbonation and doesn’t have the fullness of body and malt to cover the massive (for the style) hop bitterness. Cornfield (4409), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Mar 28, 2007 This pours a light gold body with a mediem sized white head. Nice lacing. Kind of a strange aroma, a Vienna-like malty sweetness with a flower & sugar bouquet followed by a touch of metallica. Pleasant pale malt sweetness is followed by an herbal bitterness along with another metalic does right at the finish. Actually, it seems to work together fairly well.

West Lakeview Liquors, Chicago, IL
JPDIPSO (4344), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Jun 10, 2006 Bright straw color with a tall off-white head. Candy corn, corn syrup, clover honey(with wax) circus peanuts, sweet sour sauce and just a hint of floral hops in the aroma. This exudes sweetness in the aroma and slightly scares me. Light candi flavors lead the way. Some over-ripe bananas, hints of coriander and a mild citric bite in the finish are the main players. Some other light fruit in the middle, but like a mix of stewed raisins and peaches. Honey flavors in the linger just seems to thicken the feel and start to make it feel cloying. Another silly brew to try. Certainly not a stellar example of a golden/blond ale. bu11zeye (3887), Frisco, Texas, USA Aug 14, 2006 (Bottle) Pours a clear golden body with a medium-sized frothy fluffy white head. Aroma of butter and sweet malt. Flavor of sweet malt, honey, floral hops, and sweet corn. Somewhat metallic in the finish as it warms.
