Buttery nose with a lot of caramel accompanied by coconut and aniseed. Huge amounts of caramel showing up in the taste too. Alcoholic. Buttery with hints of coconut. Full bodied. Malty. Extremely beautiful lacing. Hints of aniseed. Some cherries and woody elements sneaking in. Spicy finish. Outstanding appearance. thewolf (3392), Kolding, Denmark Jun 20, 2008 Bottle, bought @ Plan B, Cph.
Pours muddy amber with a big, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is vinious, malty, caramel, some oxidation and soft chocolate. Fine, rather light mouthfeel and high-ish carbonation. Good vinious feel, caramel, yeast. Nice balance of sweetness and bitterness, though it is a bit one-sided. nearbeer (1076), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jun 7, 2008 33 cl. Clear copper with a two-finger head that settles to a nice lace. Aroma of caramel and banana-mango bubblegum. Initial taste is spicy fruit and caramel, but not as sweet as the aroma would indicate. Earthy hop and slight alcohol both step in quickly to provide a nice balance. The taste then turns woody/herby and slightly spicy - cinnamon, pepper, nutmeg; some smoke as well. Noticed a metallic twang once or twice. Wheat-bubblegum aftertaste. Near-medium body is smooth, tingly and a bit to the dry side. JK54B (205), Finland May 25, 2008 A little bit cloudy. Light lager colour. First taste metallic. Not very malty taste. Light hop taste in finish. A little sweetyness and caramel. Too much alcohol. mjs (422), Finland May 15, 2008 (Bottle at Kaisla on 2008-05-09) Amber colour. Small white head. Sweet and yeasty nose. Medium palate. Lots of malts in taste. Some liquorice and chocolate. Little bit bitterness. Pleasant.
