Abbey style top fermentation beer. Colour: Amber colouring 35 EBC. Ingredients: Water, pale ale malt, caramel malt, aromatic malt, sugar, yeast, Kent hop, hallertau hop. Density: 9.5% ABV 19° Plato. Packaging: 33cl Apo bottle, 25l barrel. Drinking temperature: serve between 7 and 10° C. Storage: very long time under normal storage conditions. Taste comments: Its sweet and velvety aroma leads us to a pleasant hop and woody taste. It releases a very fine, bitter even smoky and alcoholised taste at the back of the mouth.

On tap at PreFunk. Thick and syrupy, heady malt aroma, slightly spicy, a bit of alcohol burn. Slow going on this one, not a quick quaff. Bets to sip slowly and savor all of the essences.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber body with a small off-white head. Nose is banana, clove, white sugar, nuts and hints of candi sugars and flour sugar. Taste is caramel, banana, burnt sugar, bitter herbs and hints of molasses and candi sugar. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Very sugary and sticky all around, not too pleasant and certainly no divinity in a bottle. But fair enough as a kind of "generic" BSA.

Bottle of 33cl, in a Trappist glass; from the fridge. An amber beer, with a light aroma and palate, and a kind of usual, typical taste. Good, but not great.

Bottle. Dark amber body, medium head. Aroma has sugary dried fruits, fruity esters, toffee and even some blackcurrants. Sugary taste with dark dried fruits and hints of blackcurrant. Above average sweetness but the alcohol is well covered too. A complex dessert beer, not made for quaffing. Has a nice and memorable character.

Semi-clear orange, off-white head. Nose is sugary, nutty, caramel, bread. Flavor is lots of malt and caramel, metallic notes, tons of sweetness. Finishes with boozy bitterness, lingering caramel and malt. Wow that’s a lot of sugar in this.
