bottle pours hazy amber with some suspended particles, off white head nice lacing. Aroma of molasses, honey, sweet belgian spices. Medium to full bodied, abv hidden. Sweet flavor, slightly cloying. Big on honey, toffee, some butterscotch.

Bottle @ home picked up picked at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a hazy dark orange appearance with a thin tan head. Quite spicy, bubblegum, big banana mango smoothie, brown sugary aroma. Toffee, candy sugar, quite fruity, plum, apple, citrusy, spicy yeasty flavor with a fairly smooth, lightly sweet, fruity finish. Kind of a cool beer.

Para mi gusto no es la típica cerveza de abadía, es una belga extrańa, fuerte y poco dulzona. Sin nada destacable.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium to dark amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, toasted grain), lightly hoppy (herbs), lightly yeasty (basement), with notes of banana/gum, candy sugar, pepper, sherry. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. A little old smelling, even though this and the Saison (which should probably have quotes around it) just recently showed up on shelves here. Very sugar-heavy in the nose and (unsurprisingly) overly syrupy-sweet in the mouth. Could only stand 3 or 4 sips before being utterly fatigued by all the sugar...blech.

Poured from 330 ml bottle at Pho Aura in Centreville, VA. The label has the picture of Venus and looks almost identical to the picture of "Silly La Divine Belgian Double Blond Ale" on ratebeer, except it reads "Belgian Triple Amber Ale" instead of "Double Blond Ale" and ABV indicated is 9% Barely translucent, muddy copper brown with a small off-white head and trivial lacing. Aroma of honey, sweet malt, toffee, yeast, spice and unfiltered, unpasteurized apple cider. Taste of honey, rotting plum, sharply spicy cloves, yeast, bananas, alcohol and wet cardboard. The the alcohol combined with the heat of clove spiciness leaves quite a burning sensation on the palate. Sweet, sticky and complex, but not a good mix of flavors. Light/medium, yet sticky body and medium carbonation. Not recommended. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Szirupos, nehéz testtel bír, egyedül a szénsavassága miatt csúszik valahogy le.
