(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy golden with a fine, huge head. Extremely potent and full-bodied beer with lots of sweetnes (did they drop the sugar bowl in this?). Some hints of caramel too. Not unpleasant though as things are evened out in a lightly bitter finish. 301196

Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized creamy white head. Aroma is citrusfruits along with toffee and some sweet sugary notes. Flavour is caramel malty, hoppy, toffeish with underlying notes of metallicness. Alcohol also gives a big sting in the flavour.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Strong heady beer. A little unsubtle. Typical high percentage flavours (ie some spirits). Not bitter though. Dry finish.

Beautiful amber color, dark shade, with creamy head. The aroma shows some banana. Full bodied; the malt and caramel flavor have a pleasant touch of roasted nuts; correct bitterness; it gets drier in the end because of the nuts; it’s also a bit dusty.
Very pleasant.

Beautiful amber color; creamy head. Nice malty aroma, macadamia nuts, turning to be almost fruity (oranges). Good body; front sweetness, balanced by a woody tartness; malty; spices and sweet orange peel. Correctly bitter. Original, a real pleasure!
Earlier Rating: 10/14/2003 Total Score: 4.1
Beautiful red-amber color, with a creamy head. Very nice malt aroma; light wood, coriander, vanilla, sweet orange. Round mouthfeel, with good malt and well balanced by the bitterness, in a crescendo to the end; with a quite strong caramel as well, and a subtle sour note. Le Diable Rouge has chosen a good brewer!
