Bottle.
Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy medium to dark amber.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, toasted grain), lightly hoppy (herbs), lightly yeasty (basement), with notes of banana/gum, candy sugar, pepper, sherry.
Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium to full body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic.
A little old smelling, even though this and the Saison (which should probably have quotes around it) just recently showed up on shelves here. Very sugar-heavy in the nose and (unsurprisingly) overly syrupy-sweet in the mouth. Could only stand 3 or 4 sips before being utterly fatigued by all the sugar...blech.
