COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The brewery of Silly is situated south of Brussels on the way to Mons. It produces 16 different beers, but is very well known for their Saison. The Saison style is a blend of old and new beers; this particular Saison goes down smooth with a flavor that hints strongly of brown ale and fruit. At 5.2% abv with a coppery-red color - this is a beer to be served cool on a fine summer's evening. Store properly and you can save a bottle of this beer for next summer.

On tap @ Bar Louie. Pours a clear dark bronze color with a small white head. Sweet aroma, light hints of toffee. Thin body, sweet with an old tea leaf finish. Not a good saison, sorry.

11.2 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Pours a hazy rust color with a medium sized frothy head. Decent head retention. Aroma of bready malts, caramel and stone fruits. The taste is citrus, berries, spice, bread, caramel. Medium bodied. Decent.

Rich toffee colored pour. Giant off-white head. Slowly falls and leaves a good bit of lacing behind. Slightly sour carbonic aroma. Some malt, hops and an earthiness to it. Sweet taste of malt, with some caramel. Slightly dry, but sweet. Dry finish with a clipping bitterness. Nice beer.

On draft @ Tap Room 307 yesterday with Andy, Maggi, Dubra. Poured into Delirium snifter. Bright, deep orange color with white head and a lot of webby lacing. Smells alright, nothing crazy, some herbal notes there. Flavor is herbal, yeasty and somewhat medicinal. A lot of dry peach/pear, which I almost forgot about before reading other reviews. That was probably the biggest takeaway. Unique for a saison in that there isn’t really any funkiness or a barnyardy sort of palate. Mostly Belgian yeast with some fruit, spice and cough drop. Pretty good, but lacks the zest I hope for with the style.

33cl bottle. Pours copper with almost no head. Good lacing, looks sticky. Aroma is sugar, some alcohol, fruits and sugar again. Taste is not different: sugaru with hints of alcohol and fruits. Too soft carbonation to me. Too sweet either. No, thanks.

From bottle. Brown, cloudy. A very sweet beer, with a slight acidity in the finish to balance it. Lots of caramel. Fruity. Very good for a sweet-tooth like me.

250ml bottle. Pours dark orange with a medium, frothy head. Aroma is bready with some fruity malt. Taste is fruity malt, bread, similar to a bitter.
