COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saison style top fermentation old brown beer. Its taste is remarkable, light and favourably combined to offer a tone that is both modestly sweetened and fruity, leaving the mouth with a refreshing feel as is constantly asked of it.

In short: A generic fruity Belgian amber ale. Not much of a Saison
How: Bottle 330ml at Cambrinus, Brugge, Belgium
The look: Clear amber body topped by a long-lasting small beige head
In long: Nose is mostly about typical fruity esters of generic yeasty Belgian ale. Taste is more of the same. Very fruity, tropical fruits, berries, dark fruits… just overall fruity. No sign of wild yeast, no dryness, nothing that hints on the Saison style. Hard to say anything about this beer other than this is a basic fruity Belgian amber ale. I love Saisons so I had to try this one. Did you really expect a half-decent Saison from this boring brewery? Don’t be absurd, this is Silly.

Een saison met iets te weinig smaak aan voor mij. Dan zijn er betere te vinden dan dit.

Bottle @ home. Pours clear copper brown with a white head and nice lacing. Caramel sweet and phenolic aroma with quite a lot of fruitiness. Malty taste with medium carbonation. Notes of dried fruit, sour red berries, caramel, some peppers, yeast. Drier nutty finish with hints of citrus. An okay brew but certainly not what i expect from a saison, its malt base is more like an altbier.

From a bottle. Dark cloudy red/brown, thin head, sharp fruity flavours linger with malt smoothness. I’m impressed.

A very drinkable beer but not at all what I have come to expect from the style. Strong malt aroma and flavour, caramel sweetness and a touch of warmth from the alcohol. Almost closer to a dubbel than a saison. As I said though, very drinkable and no doubt refreshing.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, trying to try lots of different saisons before brewing one! 25cl bottles are a bit small I think for 5% beer. Oh it’s poured a kind of chestnut brown, tiny white ring of foam. Sweet, malty and fruity? Kind of thin. Bland. Quite a disappointment.

Slight, copper aroma. Pleasant medium brown appearance. Little to no head. Sweet, malty taste with a tangy "saison" aftertaste. Smooth carbonation.
