2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange to brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than about twenty seconds.
The lacing was somewhat there but spreads out quickly with a slight speckled sort of messiness.
The smell had a weird sort of sweet grainy and grassy stickiness - all encompassing but not necessarily inviting.
The taste took those previously mentioned flavors and combined but also allowed an undercurrent of dulled spice (it tasted super old).
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with not much of a sessionable quality to it as the smell and taste somewhat bothered me to an extent. Something seemed quite off all around.
Overall, I say that I don’t think this is something that I would have again. There’s something that seemed really off in the taste and smell that just wasn’t too appealing.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, from Geers. Pours a dark copper almost brown pour with thin white head. Aroma is very spicy, tons of nutmeg and cinnamon, grainy, light fruity notes, something kind of like mincemeat, savory-dessert kind of aroma. Taste is fruity and spicy, lots of brown sugar, toasted grain, very much like an unsoured oud bruin. Palate is med bodied, nice carbonation, medium finish. Not exactly what I expect from a saison, but I assume this is actually fairly traditional and to be honest I didn’t find it half bad.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
"Fruity and sweet aroma with some bubble gm and spices. More fruity Belgian than Saison to me, but pretty nice overall. Not a favorite in style though, so for the price a one timer."

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap. Amber with fluffy slight off-white head. Nice spices up front with apple and some citrus (orange, tangerine). Light herbal touch with unripe berries. Quite sweet with light tart touch and herbal bitter finish. Medium bodied. Quite sweet for a saison but quite ok.

Een saison met iets te weinig smaak aan voor mij. Dan zijn er betere te vinden dan dit.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle @ home. Pours clear copper brown with a white head and nice lacing. Caramel sweet and phenolic aroma with quite a lot of fruitiness. Malty taste with medium carbonation. Notes of dried fruit, sour red berries, caramel, some peppers, yeast. Drier nutty finish with hints of citrus. An okay brew but certainly not what i expect from a saison, its malt base is more like an altbier.
