The Saison pours a deep copper amber with a fine off-white foam. The nose is dominated by caramel, bread, molasses, butterscotch, raisin, and a slight indistinct spicy note. Upon tasting the molasses and fruit dominate and a good amount carbonation brings the experience to life. As it fades an interesting licorice like sensation brings rich caramel attention to the back of the mouth. A remarkable effect in a beer of medium body.

Nov 3, 2008 Good fluffy off white head,cvarbonation solid dark red/brown coloured ale.Aroma lemon,malt some hops,.Flavour lemon,sugar,hops,bitter sweet and something like a strong shandy.Not the Silly Saison.the simple silly,finish bitter sweet,waste of time.

Sep 21, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Sebletitje. Pours a clear amber with a one finger off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, and a dusty dank basement. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness. Very good.

Pours ruby/copper with beige head.
Aroma is roasted malty coffee / mocha.
Taste is roasted, grainy, hoppy ,floral and fruits.
I could not quite put the finger on where this beer was a saison?
For 5%, the beer is filled with nice flavors.
It left a slight metalic after taste, that reminded me of a pils.

Jul 25, 2008 Bottle (in NZ), pours an amber-tinted brown, with a bubbly off white head. A medicinal malt aroma. Sugar on the palate, a sweet medicinal flavour and a little thin. Not sure if this has travelled well.
