3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33 cl. pours a clear dark copper with a lasting spit of foam. Aroma is earthy brown sugar with touches of raisin, tart cherry and just a whiff of vinegar. Tastes of toasted walnut, wood, caramel cola and mildly sour dark cherry. Long finish of lacquered cardboard and toffee with a pinch of salt. Light-medium body is lightly astringent and has medium-high carbonation. Quite the muddle, but not awful.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from the bottle. Aroma is of grain, from the saison. The flavor is instantly sour. Very different with the high graininess. Finishes mildly dry. Thin head, but nice carbonation. Overall a different experience.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bonus appearance point for the cool art deco label. Pours reddish copper, with a frothy head. Smells like grape juice, and pretty much tastes like it, too. Kind of artificial in a way.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of light tart cherries, cola, caramel, and a hint of vinegar. It pours a dark orangish-brown with some transparency when held to the light. It has a large khaki head that has decent retention before eventually fading to a thick film. There is some heavy webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light-moderate cola with a hint of caramel. The finish gets some light-moderate sweet cherry with just a touch of tartness. There is also some faint vinegar notes and oak/wood. Itís medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, itís too light in the sour/tart and too heavy in the sweetness for my Sour Brown preferences. Itís certainly not bad...just not what I want when Iím looking for this style.

Price: $1.67 ($9.99 for a mix 6-pack)

Poured a dark auburn, mahogany color with one finger of khaki, gray head, which dissipated fairly quickly. Light spots of sporadic lacing along the sides of the glass. Below average retention. (Sight - 3.95)
Smelled sour fruits up front in sour apple, plum, kiwi, grapes, faint cherry and raspberry. Altogether not as potent as I anticipated. (Smell - 3.64)
Tasted similar to the nose, although I was hoping for something better. Got sour apple, sour plum, raspberry, black cherry, caramel and purple grape juice. (Taste - 3.66)
Light-to-medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Somewhat bitter, but mostly long astringent finish. (Feel - 3.79)
I was expecting a bit more, but this was decent nonetheless. Especially for the price. I guess Iíd have it again. (Overall - 3.70)

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
"Not sure what exactly they were going for it, but it didnít really work. Muddled malts and only slight hints at anything sour in the aroma or flavor. Just a twinge of tart really. slight lactic feel, but if you werenít being told this was a sour, Iíd say average belgian ale. Light fruit in there, but not much of anything wild or sour."
