(330ml bottle) Pours a reddish brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of old musty books, caramel, mold, and earth. Flavor of earth, brown sugar, minerals, caramel, and some vinous.

Pours ruby-tinged mahogany into a snifter. Off white head recedes to skim surface. Sour, earthy cherry pit aromas. Soft with sweet cherry and bitter pith upfront turning to dry cherry skin in the lasting finish.

Originally rated on 11/14/14. Aroma is similar to apple cider with a dash of vinegar. The body is a super deep brown with reddish highlights, the head is thin and leaves spotty lace. Flavor is sourness upfront with some old bread in the backside. Average mouthfeel and carbonation. Overall its ok at best..

Pleasant sour, pours and drinks more like a tart red, complex yeasty notes.

Awesome looking beer. Clear amber with a great head of foam and lacing. A fruity tartness mixed with a typical Saison nose here. Tastes just like it smells. Lightish fruity tartness complimenting a classic like flavour of a well brewed Saison. Easy to drink cuz it tastes good and the abv is easy to handle. I like.

Bottle. Mahogany beer with a dark cream head. Light fruit and light malt aroma. Tart/light sour flavor with berry fruit and light malt. Medium bodied. Tart/light sour lingers with light caramel and light cherry/berry.

Hazy brown coloured body with a thinnish tan head. Aroma of sour grapes, malt, light alcohol and a bit of fresh fruit. Medium-bodied; Assertive sweetness from caster sugar and fruit shows up front with a little sour grape finish on the end, but definitely not a sour flavour initially. Aftertaste shows a hint of sour citric acid additives, some honey and syrupy sweetness and a bit of a bitterness and deep flavour of alcohol. Overall, a rather underwhelming beer with some minute sour notes and only a funky sweetness - but still, for some reason, nice to try given that I never saw this in all of double-digit trips to belgium, but settled for it here in New York. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 25-April-2014 for US$4,00 sampled at home in Washington on 09-April-2015.

Serving: from bottle--purchased at The Beer Junction. Aroma: light cherry aroma. Appearance: small, off-white initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, dark-orange body. Taste: lightly sour cherry initial flavor and lightly sour cardboard finish with short duration. Palate: light body, watery texture and flat carbonation. Overall: not good. Tastes like water and cardboard. Palate was terrible.

A murky reddish brown color with a beige head. The aroma contains some toasted if not burnt bread notes along with some woody and cherry notes. Huh I said woody. The flavor is a bit sour with this kind of this vegetable oddness going along with it. A very oakey flavor with some sour apple and cherry flavors. Some caramel showing up in the background. Overall this a bit of a mess of a flemish sour ale. Its still ok and drinkable but its awkward like an in law showing up to your honeymoon.

Tap at the Watershed.

Brown pour, standard Flemish sour nose, sour cherries, lots of brown sugar leaves quite a strong sweet-tart thing going on. Decent but not special.
