I was hoping, fingers crossed, that the reviews were wrong, that this was actually a really great sour, that maybe people just found it too intense (something I’d love in a sour), but, alas, the reviews were all correct. This is a watered down sour. Red body, kind of like a dark iced tea, not much head. Faint metallic tart aroma. Taste is a little sour, maybe some cranberry there, but basically if you take a Duchess and made a radler out of it...except instead of making it 50% soda, you did 50% water, then you’d have this. Still a half power Duchess is better than a lot of beers.

Bottle - Roasted malts, plum and some cherry sourness. Cloudy maroon with a good beige head. Sour cherry and toasted malts. Tastes more like a juice concentrate.

Bottleshare thanks to dan. Pours a ruby brown, white head, pretty light. Aroma is wierd, burnt vinegar. Burnt sugar? Taste is wierd sour vinegar. More sugar, burnt, lingers on my tongue, but not good.

Hazy brown with hints of amber or red and a small short-lived bubbly beige head. The prominent aromas are sweat, sweet fruity candy, and chocolate. Taste is sweet and fruity, moderately tart, and bitter like there’s a bunch of grapefruit rind in it. Strange. Medium bodied.

11.2 oz bottle to tulip. Looks solid; a transparent copper with off-white/very light caramel head that steadily dissipates into thin lacing. Smells solid too; tart with berry notes. Tastes like it smells with a medium-bodied mouthfeel. A bit of sweetness from the malt as well. Better than its mean suggests.

Draft. Dark amber to reddish brown color with large off white head. Very faint aroma, light sweetness, a big tea like aroma. Light green apple flavor, more of the tea like character, malty, sweet and sticky. Really not "sour" at all for a beer simply called "sour". Much disappoint.

On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and dispensed to a tulip showing a clear, mahogany color, with good persistence to the fluffy, moussy, light tan head, and spots & etched-like spray to the lacing. The nose was light yeast at best, and a pleasant, Kool-Aid sweetness, with notes of cherry & grape. The taste was tart, with a touch of sweetness, and a dry, vinous nature. Effervescent, light bodied, and very drinkable for a basic Sour-101.
