Ik heb dit gedronken op een horecabeurs in Wallonië, een amber bier met een iets te fletse smaak

25cl bottle from Vanuxeem. Put in my trolley by the better half without me realising as an added surprise when we got home. And it’s a surprise on opening too.. sweet malty aroma, with a saisony mouthfeel and rich yeasty flavours. I can see this hasn’t been rated highly by others but, well.. I like it.

erickok (3492) - Tours (and Paris), FRANCE - MAR 18, 2014
Copper bodied with stable bubbly off white head. Grainy malts, light roasted, bit of caramel, biscuity, sweet fruity yeast that works well. Light bitter, fruity yeast yet dry ending. Not bad at all, not too sweet. Also not very special, but it just drinks well. (25cl bottle from Cave Gambrinus)

Note pour mo même : à re-tester! Trouvée à Vanuxeem - Ploegstaert.

Trappist1 (441) - Diest, BELGIUM - OCT 17, 2013
Amber van kleur, beperkte bierkraag, weinig tot geen co2, gewoon plat zelfs. Neus overheerst verbrande suiker. Afdronk, droog, bitter, beetje fruitig, zoetige minder uitgesproken finish.

Amber colour, low carbonatoin. Unbalanced beer: a bit bitter but too sweet. Aroma of caramel and malt. Watery finish

5/VI/13 - 25cl bottle from Comptoir des Fagnes (Couvin, BE) @ home - BB: 24/X/13 (2013-534)

Clear pale orange beer, some small frothy irregular fluffy off-white head, little stable, pretty adhesive. Aroma: some citrus, sweet malty touch, bit fruity, sugary. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sweet, ripe fruits, green banana, bitter hops. Aftertaste: fruity, bit sugary, green banana, bit metallic, malty grains, some caramel. Not too bad, decent Belgian brew.

Erzengel (2536) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JUN 6, 2013
Dunkelblonde Farbe, leicht herber Antrunk!

Swaroga (1305) - Brussels, BELGIUM - FEB 17, 2013
25cl bottle. Cloudy orange/golden with small, white head. Nose : caramel, grains and toffee. Dairy, fruity banana and apricot. Sip : sweet tart with caramel, grains, some delicate notes of honey flavour. The beer has very low carbonation, water like density and oily texture. Nothing special.
