drpimento (518), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Jul 9, 2008 It starts out with a good white head with fine bubbles that slowly subsides. Has some lace. Beery aroma with some malt, and a bit of hops. Taste is similar to aroma, but more hop. Clear pale gold color. Pleasing clean, refreshing, bittersweet taste with good carbonation and body. Good balanced finish. A session beer. I went back for more. This is definitely my fav of the Romanian beers so far. Had this at The Restaurant Burebista Vana in Bucharest both on draft and from a bottle - draft was better.
iammarc (179), Inverness, Scotland Jul 27, 2008 Can. Pours like a normal run-off-the-mill lager, has a bit of fizz about it, looks refreshing. Not particularly good tasting, nothing special. ChainGangGuy (1602), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Dec 11, 2007 Ando brought back a shlew of Romanian beers from his recent European excursion. I’m told Romanian beer can be a real special treat. Here’s hoping!
Apperance: Pours a clear, light yellow body with a fizzy white head.
Smell: Meager aroma of excessively pale malts and floral hops.
Taste: Altogether bland maltiness with a faint floral hoppiness. Mild bitterness. Slight astringency to the otherwise empty finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Easy drinking, but only because it essentially tastes like nothing. Ando (105), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Dec 10, 2007 *did not like would not buy*
app: star bland water not much head
smell: floral bland lager smell lil bit o trash in it, not clean, not inviting,
taste: normal not intresting kinda sharp, unrefreshing. no winner winner flavors jump out
mf: thin not like a crystal spring a lil coating in the finish
drinkable?: not that much.. ok not bad..
jhagmar (72), Gothenburg, Sweden Dec 9, 2007 500 ml can. Light amber with a hint of cloudiness. Large, mostly lasting, white head. Faint aroma of dough and flowers. Taste is somewhat sour with a soft, short, lightly bitter finish.
