0.5 l can courtesy of Doggythedog, thanks for sharing! It poured darker amber body with small brownish head that went down slowly. Caramel, fruity and a bit licorice and very slightly alcoholic aroma. Sweetish fruity, slightly coffee flavor with strong presence of alcohol. Medium to fuller body with fine bitterish herbal and caramel finish. OK one, quite drinkable and pleasant for what it is and where it’s from.

0.5l can courtesy of a friend who brought it from Romania (thanks Krešo!)
Poured a lovely dark amber-red body with a medium ochre head that went away relatively fast. Sweet fruity malty aroma, nice and strong. Dry bittersweet taste, coffee and caramel, licorice, quite bitter finish. The alcohol isn’t all that evident but it’s warming. A surprise I guess and a good beer, though definitely not something most would like.

0,5 l can as a gift.
Clear ruby beer with a nice foamy tan-light beige head that diminshes to a small lacing one. Toasted caramel and toffee, plum and raisins in the nose, light cocoa. Smooth mouthfeel, medium body with caramel, some toffee and roasted grains, cocoa. Roasted aftertaste on the tongue at swallow. Fine, it suggests to the hungarian Gösser Bock (litle bit easier, the GB is more roasted).

0.5 l can from Déva. Reddish brown/mahogany colour, small pale brown head’s remaining, average carbonation. Roast-malt, fruity smell. Sharp and sweet taste, medium bodied. Flavour is a mixture of coffee-bitter and fruity sweetness. Light-bitter and dry finish. In opposite of the cans label, alcohol’s not knocking the head, it’s an easy drinkable and nice dunkel.

Can in Bucharest. Dark amber color with a white head. Aroma of caramel, fruits and some burnt malt.. Flavor was quite sweet. Ok aftertaste and bitterness. Clearly, a good beer compared to many of the other Romanian beers.

Bottled, sampled at Bierhaus, Timisoara/Temesvár, Romania. Mahogany colour, pale white head. Lots of caramel and butterscotch (not diacetyl) in aroma. Flavour is loaded with butterscotch (not diacetyl) with licoricy suggestions. No malt focus in the body. One-dimensional Bock-style beer with low maltiness.

In short: Sugary sweet dark fruits juice with bubbles and alcohol. Boring.
How: Can 500ml. Consumed relatively fresh, about 2 months after the girlfriend bought it on location..
The look: Clear dark red body topped by a small beige head
In long: The nose is like a fake (powder) dark fruit juice. Taste is more of the same. Sugary dark fruits juice (mainly raisins) with a “fake juice” feeling and a hint of caramelized liquorice. And that’s about all there is to say about the flavour. Supposedly called a black beer over there, the thing is dark red. Another “gem” brought back to me by the girlfriend. She’s Romanian and it’s not her fault, after all she’s the girl that always stand by my side to help me through all my problems. Problems I wouldn’t have had I stayed single.
