Oakes (7030), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Nov 22, 2005 On tap at the brewpub
Densely sedimented tan colour. Heavy banana/yeast aroma. Spritzy carbonation, which cuts through what would otherwise be kind of cloying. Lots of sweetness, light banana and a musty, footy yeastiness. Fairly dry in the finish as the yeastiness begins to dominate. Pretty far from the bright, lively hefes I like. BückDich (4603), Boise, Idaho, USA Apr 9, 2008 Tap @ Brewery: Hazy cloudy gold with a light white head and nice lacing. Nose of sulpher, banana and strong clove. Meaty body, chewy and sweet with some residuals in the tail. Esters and rough, some soap. acrdz (4486), Boulder, Colorado, USA Aug 3, 2005 Glowing soft murky yellow. Sweet fruity, yeasty and fresh tasting beer. Light and crisp, with a German yeast nose and a woody finish. Very fresh tasting, and a perfect summer hefeweizen. JoeMcPhee (3899), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Nov 23, 2005 Tap at the brewpub.
Very pale cloudy yellow beer, thin white lace. Some spicy coriander notes, bubble gum, and very faint clove. A bit vegetal. Falvour is wheay enought, light yeastiness but the body is a bit thin. Light estery finish. presario (2497), Calgary, Alberta, Canada May 22, 2008 Bottle. Cloudy dark yellow. Very light head. Zesty soft banana and bread aroma. Zesty refreshing taste. A bit chalky. Sour lemon edge. Light on the banana.
