3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
My first beer after my bout with a cold! 22 oz bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours a semi-dark straw color with good clarity. The head is a three finger white shade. Not unexpectedly, it fades fairly quick and doesn’t leave a lot of lacing on the glass.
S: There is a notable corn character here, thankfully it doesn’t quite rub me the wrong way as it does in BMC offerings. Some light hoppiness helps balance things out well enough.
T: This actually works reasonably well given its style for a couple reasons. One, the corn character has a light ’spiced’ quality to it (reminiscent of nutmeg), and two, the midtaste and finish isn’t nastily sweet like a typical macro lager - I’d even call the finish citrusy at times. Still, it does get fairly sweet after a while. There isn’t a whole lot that’s terribly interesting here, but it’s certainly refreshing.
M: Not as dry as I like my lagers to be - I’ll blame that on the questionable freshness rather than the brew itself. Carbonation is pleasantly high.
O: This might be as good as an adjunct lager gets. Because of its inherent style, it’ll never get high marks for complexity or boldness of flavor, but this would make a great lawnmower beer regardless. I have a minor problem with the bomber format, though; mainly because this would be perfect as a cheap-ass 6 pack of tallboy cans. That, and I can’t get it in MD without trading.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 ounce bottle. Pours a clear gold with a nice white head. Aroma of malt, grain, grass, and fruit. Taste is sweet malt, grain, citrus, grass, and a bit of florals. Excellent lager.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Appearance: dark straw gold, short white head quickly fading to nothing, minimal lacing. Aroma: creamed corn, grass, hay, peppercorns. Taste: slightly sweet, with flavors of mexican corn-cake-tamale, grain, some dried grass, a bit of DMS skunk-funk. Finish: surprising and unpleasant burn, almost as if this had a 10% abv, lingering sweet creamed corn. Notes: Rather unpleasant. Seemed very rough around the edges, like the beer version of a bad moonshine.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance: Light yellow with hints of amber. Evervescent with quickly diminishing head.
Nose: Sun struck funkiness that I like in these styles. malty sweetness with zero hop presence.
Taste: Full fruit almost candy on the front with a sweetness on the finish. Slight bitterness plays around the back as well.
Mouthfeel: light bodied but crisp due to the carbonation.
Overall: Not bad and easy drinking. Something i’d drink not to get drunk.
Note: was tried in Dec of 2012 and had been on the shelf for 6+ months properly refrigerated.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
pours a semi-cloudy light orange with a small white head that goes away quickly, and almost no lacing to speak of.
smell is of grain, straw, corn, some malt, and a touch of citrus.
taste is a little flat and thin, corn, grain, a little sweetness in back, a touch of citrus, and a few hops. ends clean, but like most of silver city’s brews thin and not weak on the flavors, though this one is better than most lagers.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Well I thought this was the same beer as before. Well whatever fuck it I will rate it. Nose of bread and corn, light grass. Pours golden, lots of big bubbles and a nice frothy head. The flavor is corn bread, light sweetness, a little hop bite and earthy grass notes. Well carbonated, easy to drink, very refreshing. Pretty sure this is the same shit as before.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Huge malt aroma from the bottle and off the head. Pours very clear golden with a nice white head. The head dissipates fairly quickly but leaves a thin blanket and some lacing. very clean malt flavor, hint of hops, spices, excellent body and extremely easy drinking. Great carbonation and slightly oily. For me, this would be the PERFECT all Summer beer, and I am glad the bottled beer is just as good as it is on tap. Tasted from the bottle @ 54F.
